We stayed here for two nights during Mardi Gras. Really helpful and friendly staff. The room was definitely on the smaller side but decorated nicely and very comfortable. They even have a hot tub and a pool. And they had a white noise maker so I didn't have to hear the oogle band across the street all night. What's not to like?

New Orleans was my getaway stomping grounds when I was but a young lass at Alabama State University. The Bayou Classic, journalism conferences and all-around foolishness were the reasons for my visits in the early 90s. The Essence Fest in 2004, my last visit, left an indelible mark in my brain, making NOLA one of my top 3 US cities. So how is it that I did not return until last month? A baby, work and life, in general, are the answers. The Frenchmen provided another mystical, magical, seductively intriguing reason that the Crescent City lives up to its reputation. I felt like I stepped into the live version of Princess and the Frog and started looking for Dr. Facilier so I could sell my soul to the devil. Located out of the fray of the French Quarter, but just a 5-minute walk to all the action, the Frenchmen gave off voodoo vibes at the door.My daughter and I were quite impressed with the welcoming lobby area as the friendly front desk host checked us in quickly. Our beautiful room featured bright colors, gorgeous artwork and a large, modern bathroom. The best parts of the Frenchmen were the pool and hot tub, which we visited each day we were there. When I go back, I will most definitely bring stay here again! Can't wait!

4 stars for its central location and aesthetics. It was very convenient in getting to all the tourist attractions without having to deal with the night life noise. The room we stayed in 207 faced the courtyard and it did not have any windows. Bed and pillows were comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

Great little place with that vintage vibe. Can walk right down the street to music and my fave restaurant Adolpho's. Easy walk into the Quarter. I loved the little splashy pool and hot tub in the courtyard, was in it all the time. Breakfast bar with good coffee and fresh fruit, all I need in the morning. All the staff were ice and friendly. Will definitely stay there again!

Convenient walking distance to everything in NOLA. Many bars/restaurants on same street or walk to bourbon st. Uber available if your not a walker. Pool and spa was awesome. Unfortunately bar in roof was closed due to off season (took a star for that because it wasn't mentioned before booking). Staff was very attentive and friendly.Clean, clean, clean room.I would definitely stay again.

I come to New Orleans twice a year to visit my mom, whom I could have stayed with. I wanted to have a great experience where I could meet new people, so I chose this hotel. The first room they gave me was on the ground floor next to the pool, it was dark, musty, and the AC was blowing out hot air. I should have asked them to move my room but I instead stayed at my moms that night. The following day my room was moved upstairs which was bright and lovely. Bar is cool, really loved the vibe in there. Met a cool couple from Seattle. The other thing I would say, I know they can't monitor the type of clientele they attract, but both days the pool was filled with trashy ppl. Guests should not be able to bring out a speaker and control and blast music while getting trashed. There was booze all around the pool and people were screaming the lyrics to Pink Floyd. I did not want to hang around the pool area. I would suggest some rules and maybe the hotel plays music out there instead of letting people DJ. I like Pink Floyd but one guest shouldn't be controlling the vibe.

Me and my boyfriend (who just came back from deployment) booked a room here. Worst experience of my life. they couldn't check us into the room because their "virtual check in" wasn't working, we sat in the lobby for 3 hours and no one could help us. the staff was very polite but uneducated. PLUS we didn't get our money back, we had to go stay at a Hilton. Don't waste your time and money on this hotel!!!
