The french market inn is a wonderful location and space. We felt super safe every day we were here. We had no trouble accessing services, support, amenities here.We enjoyed that the location was walking distance but far enough anyway where you avoid the noise and the crowd. Initially, as girls we were wanting to feel like the location was safe and this met all our hopes. Not only is it door key accessible later in the night but someone is at the door until 11pm.Our rooms were clean and spacious.I have no complaints and would return to this location. Recommend highly.

The French market inn was spectacular!!!!!! We arrived a lil early upon arrival and they made sure to accommodate us so we could still enjoy the town. The front desk clerks made sure all our needs were met. I had a king size room I think it was a deluxe king room. It was spacious and clean!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tv had a ton of channels not that you were in your room much. One of the big perks was they had usb ports and plug ins everywhere in the room. I didn't even have to get my bricks out just the cords due to how they have them situated by the bed. The location is perfect 5-10min from just about anything in the quarter. On check out our flight had a very long delay so the front door clerk Henry I think was the young man's name, he took our obnoxious 4 bags and stored them while we went to get a late lunch and enjoy some more of the city. As a person who gets anxious on flight days he took care of me and answered all my silly questions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

Hospitality could not compare, to the franchise Hotel. Real true genuine hospitality from the ladies to the men. Mr. Sammy, checking up to us, making sure that he would answer, any questions we may have had. Mr. Charles gave quick and accurate service in food service. All of the staff were great, friendly, helpful and kind. Those which I interact with, is the correct staff, anyone would want to take a trio to get a way. Thank youKelly and Rogers

We booked this hotel based on the reviews. Not our cup of tea.. ehh coffee. No water in the room for the coffee maker, sure vending machines are by the tiny pool, but sell for $3.00. The noise level from neighbors above and next door is disturbing. We are going on warmish shower for the third day. The bedding is a really thin blanket and sheet. Don't look for plush anything here. Hotel staff is mostly friendly.. at best. Location is close to Jackson Square and that's the only plus for us. Not going to come back. Sad that this place didn't live up to some reviews.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the property is historic and quaint ,really takes you back to the days of yesteryear. We had a windowless room and the bed was so soft we lost track of time. We found the property to be clean. The rooms are smaller and not as modern but makes up in character, exposed brick is my jam! Decor is French provincial style and there is a small pool and courtyard to relax in.Elyssia and Henry were standouts !

I stayed here Dec 2024 and enjoyed my stay. This is an older boutique hotel with an excellent staff in a quiet area in the French Quarter that is walkable to everywhere. About 1.5 blocks from Jackson Square, 2 blocks from Cafe du Monde, French Market, Central Market. It's on the water (parking lot in front). I requested a room not on 1st floor and got a suite (Room 255) with a LR, bedroom with 2 double beds and a bathroom. The room had 30' beamed ceilings, French door windows overlooking the pool, 2 TVs. It was awesome. Ironically, 30 years ago I stayed in their sister hotel Place d'Arms on St. Ann. It was also lovely and 2 blocks from Jackson Square. Highly recommend.

100% recommend the French Market inn when staying in the French quarter, especially when flying in without renting a car. The location is so close to everything downtown and is quiet and private when checking in after a long night. The hospitality was a huge plus as well, everyone I encountered while staying here was very helpful and friendly! Looking at the pictures online, I wasn't sure they were going to have an elevator but they did and thank goodness since I was on the 4th floor.

This was our 3rd visit to Nola but first time staying here and I have nothing but love for this place. All the rooms we've stayed at in the area have been small. Our room was small and quiet. Lovely decor and vibe. The staff were great. Henry in particular was friendly and welcoming. He worked long hours; we saw him day and night, but still had a warm welcome as we came and went. I'm glad we opted not to get a street view balcony room as I suspect it might not have been as quiet and the view not worth it. Our room was the garden view but all we saw from the window was a tree. Each night we were tired and slept well. The room had a queen-sized bed and small closet. We only had two small carryon bags as this was a short trip. If we had 2 full sized suitcases it would have been an issue getting around in the room. But this was perfect for our stay, Love the courtyard. several fountains and some greenery give this the perfect chill vibe. There were a few tables and chair for people to hang out. there is a small unheated pool, but we didn't use it. The most important thing is the location of the Inn. We were close to almost everything we wanted to do. Very close to cafe du monde and the river. walking distance to our favorite restaurant Acme for the delish charred oysters and seafood etouffee, Jackson square and bourbon street. If I ever came back I'd definitely try to stay here, and I highly recommend it if you want to be close enough to walk places but not hear the craziness from your room. The amenities were a bit too stingy. For two people the bottles seemed small and I especially need lots of conditioner, but I came prepared and Im sure they would have given us extra if we had asked. Our room had an elevator but not all building do. I think the employees would help with luggage if its an issue. He offered to help me, but we packed super light and used the elevator. Whole place seemed clean. I think it's old and I read online some think it's haunted but didn't see anything. I have a friend who's into ghost hunting and she was jealous and wished she could check it out. Henery totally deserves a raise.

Affordable clean accommodations in the French quarter? Who knew! We normally would stay at a hotel on magazine past canal. It was affordable and felt close enough to walk everywhere but it Changed ownership to a more expensive boutique hotel so after lots of searches and review reading we decided on French market and I'm so glad we did. The price was great, room was clean, spacious for the French quarter, quiet and comfortable bed. I really wouldn't ask for more. But the location is amazing too! A few blocks from Jackson square and nothing was more than a 10 min walk truly except when we went to an escape room past canal closer to downtown. This will be our new go to hotel when we come to New Orleans. Staff was also greatEdit to add: I saw some responses about fridges and the staff said they would be getting fridges however I called and they said no fridges. But both of our rooms has them ?

I really enjoyed our stay here while in NOLA January 2023. We wanted a spot that was close to all the action, but far enough away that it would be quiet when needed. Also, since there's so much to see and do, we were looking more for clean and comfortable versus luxurious and pricey. The French Market Inn staff are all kind, helpful, and friendly folks. I felt safe in the morning and late at night alike. We enjoyed the courtyard and just being outside in January coming from Chicago. We found a really affordable room that has no windows, but worked perfectly so rays of light weren't hitting us when we were trying to sleep in. It was comfortable and clean, just what we needed. There was a coffee shop just below, which was very convenient. Our friends drove and utilized a parking lot (albeit expensive) across the street. Nice to have it close by! I would definitely stay here again.
