The bad reviews to this place seem to stem from bad customer service. I cant say much about their customer service either, not very friendly or welcoming. There wasn't a line when we got there. I got the crawfish étouffée and my husband got the shrimp poboy. The food was better than most airport foods. The crawfish étouffée and shrimp poboy had an generous amount of crawfish or shrimp. Not the best food you will have, but for an airport, it wasn't horrible. You have the option to eat at a table or sit at your gate.

One thing I forgot to eat while living in the French Quarter (for a week only) is a muffuletta! Someone even recommended Cochon for it but it just skipped out on me...... so I didn't want to leave without having one. Even if it is at the airport. A couple of hours before boarding, I saw a sign for that exact sandwich at this place. Located at the end of terminal B, it was a bit of a walk from our gate, but hey, plenty of time to kill, so why not. It's ready made, so I got one, paid at the cashier, got utensils and went back with my group. I didn't realize how bit it was until I opened the packaging, so I cut it in half to share. VERDICT: It was really good! Better than I expected given it was airport grub! Bread was fluffy. Generous with the fillings, it was delicious. Even better pairs with a nice cold brew! FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 3. Very little interaction, but fast! VALUE: 3.5. Not too bad for airport food. Plus I got to share it! PARKING: N/A. Located at MSY airport. OVERALL: 3.5. How I wished I had one (or two) while I was in the city! But this was a pretty impressive fix! Glad I got to have one before heading home.

All we wanted was a few biscuits before getting on the plane. We got good service but the biscuits were super salty. We got jam to go with it but the jam tasted old, and those little jam packets usually last for a long time. The biscuits got cold quick and turned hard and crumbly. I opened it to put the jam on and it started breaking weird, then I took a bite and it started falling apart, crumbs everywhere. I understand airport prices but come on that wasn't worth it.

Certainly not upholding Southern hospitality or Chef Folse's reputation. All my kid wanted was a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, but I was told by cashier "Courtney" that she could not sell it to me because it was a breakfast sandwich. I said I understand it's a breakfast sandwich, but why does it matter if the sandwiches are still out in the display case, along with several other items for sale. All she could say was that it was a breakfast sandwich and so she couldn't sell it. Well, bless your heart, Courtney. There was no logical explanation. In trying to understand the illogical: IF it's a food safety concern, then those sandwiches should be discarded before someone gets sick or the health department gets involved. IF it's an arbitrary point of sale/register rule, protocol should be to remove those items from the purchase point so customers don't think they are for sale. Ultimately, the best business decision would be to rethink that rule since folks like BEC sandwiches at any time of day, and in this economy, I would want to increase sales where possible. The insult to injury is that they sell a BACON EGG AND CHEESE sandwich in another case after breakfast time. So, absolutely nothing of this situation is logical.Sure, you're a captive audience at the airport, but Folse does have other hospitality venues elsewhere, which I will not be supporting. Having just enjoyed a delightful and delicious lunch at Dooky Chase's, I am happy to support Leah Chase's legacy further in the terminal at Leah's Kitchen.Peace out Nola, heading back to the home of the BEC on every corner, at any time of day.

I had a stop in New Orleans. The new airport looks very nice and enough places to eat. I have lived in Louisiana for many years before and I was craving southern biscuits. Went to the food market and ordered biscuits. They didn't look appealing and tasted only like flour and salt. Nola common you can do better!

If there was-5 that's what they would get... Airport service is always horrible. It's like you have to pass the rude test to get hired. This restaurant was specifically rude and the food was horrible. So bad they had to get a rude manager to refund us. The sandwich stunk and was ice cold even after "they warmed it up". Even the tables and chairs were nasty dirty. While they went to get the manager for us, they wouldn't even help others to get food.

Very good for airport food! My boyfriend and I were at the airport and our flight was delayed a bit. Hunger hit and this is where we found ourselves as it was right near our gate. We were offered samples of gumbo and shrimp and grits. Both were delish, but we went with po boys. I had a fried shrimp po boy that was yummy. I forgot the name of his po boy but it had both fried shrimp and fried oysters. He enjoyed! Just because it's airport food, doesn't mean it's bad! Try it...especially to get your last taste of Nola before heading home.

The red beans and rice with andouille was pretty good, and the sausage had a good snap the casing with some spice. The "seafood" gumbo should just be called gumbo. I found 4 of the tiniest crawfish tails I never knew were even legal to harvest and that was the extent of the seafood. It was also very bland and needed salt. Service was friendly and the place seemed clean. Not a bad spot overall to hangout waiting for a flight.

I ordered the Creole Jambalaya listed at $12 but noticed my receipt said I was charged $15.99. When I questioned, they said they increased their prices (for reference it's Monday before the Super Bowl). I requested a refund for the difference as I was never told about the price increase while ordering, so I should be charged for what's listed on the price sheet. They had to call a manager to process a refund and I waited patiently (for the first 20-30 min) while I ate my lunch. I kept following up and the manager never showed up, and no one else could help me. After waiting for about 45 min, I had to board my flight and I never received my refund. They were also charging $18 for the rice and beans listed at $11.50!!!
