Fleur De Lis Park

This is a cute little park with a convenient location for the neighborhood it is in. They have a lot of grass and greenery, a swinger, and a basketball court. From what I've seen, it's usually pretty empty. However, it has been very hot lately.

Thank the Lord the citizens fought to prevent the Orleans School Board from selling this land. Even though it's a NORDC playground the school board still owns the property, It is peculiar. Why the land was never transferred from the Parish to the City is a good question. Who knows how all that works. The important thing is that it's still a gem of a park and it avoided being developed into McMansions for now.

Super spacious lawn with some picnic tables and a pretty large park. If your dog is ok off a leash, this would be a great place to run around. It is also a good spot to play some frisbee. Thanks to the trees, there is plenty of shade. This is super important in the New Orleans summer.
