Fleur De Dance

We were referred to Tammy and Byron for our wedding dance. I'd taken ballroom dance back in the day and my fiance had no dance background but really wanted us to tango for our first dance. Tammy and Byron made sure we looked spectacular! They taught us with demonstration, hands-on and talking us through our adjustments and the steps. We looked awesome (I thought) and had a lot of fun learning and performing!

My husband and I took dance lessons at Fleur de Dance leading up to our wedding. Tbh, neither of us are really dancers, and we were apprehensive about dance lessons thinking it would be a bit of a chore. Little did we know we would have so much fun!!! Tammy and Byron are excellent teachers, and are hilarious to boot. They made us feel comfortable right off the bat and really enjoyed spending time with them. We bought a three private class package and Byron and Tammy were super flexible with the timing and schedule. We sent them our song ahead of time so they were prepared for us when we first arrived. We learned the basics and once we were comfortable with them, we started to add in some more interesting moves. We went at our own pace and Tammy and Byron took our opinions into account every step of the way. We didn't leave with a memorized routine (not our style). Instead we left feeling comfortable with the basics - the song, the steps, some moves - so that we could not only survive a 3 min song but actually really enjoy it!! I honestly cannot imagine how our wedding dance would have gone without these lessons. Tammy and Byron gave us so many invaluable tips about things we never would have thought about. Dancing well takes a lot of thought and preparation! Especially when you're distracted on an exciting and special night. Now I want to go back just for fun! My husband did in fact go back with his mom to pin down their mother son dance. I cannot recommend more highly!

For my father/daughter dance the night of my wedding, my dad wanted to shuffle back and forth. Tammy and Byron made us look elegant while taking our preferences (i.e. keep it simple) in stride. They kept each lesson fun, easy, and light-hearted. They are wonderful people and great at what they do.

Byron and Tammy were excellent teachers who were able to refine our pre-coordinated dance. We learned more from them in an hour than we did from multiple lessons elsewhere. Working with two teachers is great as you can see what the moves look like from professionals. Additionally, they are both articulate teachers and who convey the concepts from multiple perspectives. Not to mention they are a lot of fun!

Needed music cut very last minute and Fleur De Dance came through in a BIG way!!! Thank you so very much!

I bought the marriage dance package for my daughter and her fiancé. They live in London, but recently got married here in New Orleans. They were visiting in February 2023, and they went to their lessons with Byron and Tammy who put together a floor dance for them to their special song. They even videotaped them so they could practice at home in London. When the wedding came, the dance was perfect. Thank you, Byron and Tammy. Byron also did a mash up for me of the songs, Going to the Chapel and I'm Getting Married in the Morning. It was also great. I recommend them to anyone who wants a special dance for a special occasion!

We purchased the "Next Step" package in preparing for our wedding and it was absolutely outstanding. Tammy and Byron are nothing short of amazing. They were patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled at teaching people with varying levels of dance experience (we had very minimal experience ). they took the time to understand our vision for our wedding dance and tailored our lessons to suit our style, making us feel comfortable every step of the way! Tammy and Byron guided us through each dance move, breaking down even the most complex steps into manageable pieces. Their positive and encouraging attitude motivated us to practice and improve between lessons. We are forever grateful for how they turned our dance into a beautiful and unforgettable moment on our wedding day. With the skills and confidence gained from our lessons, we danced flawlessly, impressing our guests and creating a cherished memory that will last a lifetime
