Ferrara Showman Gallery

I found the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery to be a very pleasant viewing experience. I liked it in part because the staff were pleasant, not pretentious and were happy to answer questions. This gallery also had a variety of different artists and mediums. Chances are a viewer will find something they will like while strolling the rooms of this gallery.

Ferrara's shows seem to have a little more drive than most. The gallery is a good size, you might even say large, with great ceiling height. Some of the artist's work featured here may be perceived as overly political but most is fresh, dynamic, and often local. To be sure, the shows consistently queue in my mind in the top 2-3, for Julia, mind you; there are other galleries in New Orleans in other neighborhoods that rank very differently.Go to Ferrara and see for yourself.
