Oh my goodness. Looking to have your reception here or any event?! Do it! 110% do it! This is your sign saying to do it! Rebecca (the Federal Ballroom event planner) is simply INCREDIBLE. I was taken such good care of that I felt like royalty. They were always several steps ahead of not multiple! I am BEYOND pleased with my decision to work with them and have had my wedding reception there! So much love for that team!

Was lucky enough to come to a wedding here earlier in December. Apparently the place was originally a federal bank/safe that's been turned into an event venue. We adored it for its architectural detail, the fabulous dance floor, the great set up and the super sweet staff. They even have an attended elevator! It's a little bit hidden but the perfect distance from the Church of the Immaculate Conception for a Second Line band. We marched on over with kerchiefs waving and the band playing. They have a little salon downstairs for the wedding party to relax in until it's time for them to enter the reception and then once the event was in full swing, they used it for gifts and general detritus. A great venue for a relatively small wedding... if you can get a hold of them :)

We just had our daughter's wedding at the Federal Ballroom. It was fantastic. Rebecca is amazing to work with! She was so helpful and even helped us with the Second Line. Everything was stress free.

As a coordinator trying to plan a wedding and reception for a client, I would not recommend this place for anyone who has a planner or coordinator. Rebecca was pretty prompt in responding to my email and said that she only works directly with the bride/couple. That is unfortunate that they would turn down business. I didn't hear the most rave review before reaching out, so a word of caution to all planning on trying to book an event here.

I have been trying to get in contact with this place for months now and nobody returns emails or phone calls. I am highly disappointed since I was very excited after seeing photos of this place and thought that I found the place I want to have my wedding. I am not comfortable with their lack of communication so I decided to continue searching for venues.

Been trying to get in touch with Rebecca for a few weeks now. I have left many messages with her and her assistant and still not call back. If this is any indication of how they handle business, I do not want to hold my wedding reception there. I will be looking elsewhere.

I had a destination wedding in New Orleans on August 23, 2014. My reception was held at the Federal Ballroom and it was absolutely amazing! The food was great and everyone was raving about it (the caterers that work with the Federal Ballroom were a joy to work with and they have a really good selection of food items to choose from). The venue is unique and very eloquent. I looked at several venues in New Orleans and The Federal Ballroom is the best bang for your buck. The Federal Ballroom also has something that the other venues did not offer and her name is Rebecca O'Meara. Rebecca is an angel sent from God. Seriously, this lady is amazing! You do not need to hire a wedding coordinator or wedding planner if you are having your reception and/or ceremony at the Federal Ballroom. Rebecca handles everything and she made sure that everything was perfect for my wedding reception (she even helped me with my Ceremony that was held at another venue). She also saved me over $1,300.00 on my centerpieces!!! Rebecca and her staff are awesome! If you do not consider the Federal Ballroom for your Wedding Reception, you are making a huge mistake! You can view some of my pictures from my Reception at the Federal Ballroom on Facebook and Instagram by searching the #smith823 (hashtag). I had the Reception of my dreams at the Federal Ballroom without spending an arm and a leg :-)
