Fat Daddy's Restaurant

While working at one of the local schools I decided to visit this place while on break. I'm actually glad I ended up here before 11:00 a.m. . Because after my arrival so many people showed up I would have been waiting forever to get something to eat. I ordered the grilled chicken Po boy. It was average at best and far from being delicious or anything like that. My biggest complaint about this sandwich is it just didn't have any flavor. It was just plain all the way through from the bread to the veggies to the grilled chicken to the honey mustard. Yes I did say honey mustard because I asked that they not put any mayonnaise on my sandwich. I can't complain about the cost of this sandwich $6.99 and the service was okay.

A very quaint neighborhood establishment no complaints about the food. I had as an appetizer jalapeño caps! They were more like fried pickles just jalapeños but they were delicious! One thing that truly made my first time experience GREAT was our server Ashley!! She was so awesome, she knows the menu and is so friendly and a super gracious person!!

Fat Daddy's has been the go to Lunch spot for years in Plaquemine! Every time I visit, we try to make a trip to fat daddy's. If you haven't already, try an order of the fried green beans! They are to die for.For my meal I got the crab and corn bisque. This did not disappoint! Boyfriend got the barbecue pulled pork sandwich and he said it was a bit dry but we got some extra BBQ sauce and he was good to go! They also have the best pickle spears ever. I have no idea why there's are so much better than the ones at home, but they definitely are lol. Go try out the local fat daddy's restaurant! You will not be disappointed

Hole in the wall kinda place complete with gambling section in the back. Been several times over the years for the Po-boys which are typically really good. We've tried a couple of other items and been disappointed. Latest visit: July 15, 2023Ribs: I mean, you're not in Texas or Nashville... so yeah. Tough, no bark, not enough sauce, actually tasted like they were left overs.Chicken Strips: OkFried Pickles, Jalapeños, etc: goodPo-boys: goodThey used to serve items in baskets or on a plate. This last service everything was in disposals which isn't appealing when you're dining in. I would have even gone for a paper or styrofoam plate with the food served instead of individual containers with lids.

Best Italian muffuletta's, excellent Shark's special. Seasoned fries are delicious! Root beer in a cold mug when eating in is great! Our out of town relatives request a meal at Fat Daddy's when they come to Plaquemine!Service is great also.

Very friendly staff, nice comfortable environment. Clean and orderly. Food was great. We ordered Fried onion rings as app. They were the best!! Am the baked beans were amazing!!!

Great stuff, not only the best restaurant in Plaquemine. It's the only place in Plaquemine! The Muffuletta is awesome, so is the shrimp dinner.

I do not recommend the pulled pork po-boy. It was the worst po-boy I've ever ordered. BBQ potted-meat would be the closest comparison of taste. I left the whole thing on the table. The coke was good and the The young man and young lady who waited on us were very welcoming and polite. The cheese fries were good as well. I may try again but first impression with that sandwich was not good.

It was amazing until ownership changed. My last 3 orders were messed up bad. Like I ordered a Sharon Special and got hamburger poboy. When I tried to call about the mistake I was hung up on each time. We have much better restaurants around here that will politely fix their mistake, while I got all attitude at Fat Daddy's. 2 stars cause ot was at least edible
