Express Bowl

They never answer the phone , they take 20 years to fix simple items . Half the time if you order through an outside delivery service , express bowl won't even check to accept the order. Nasty attitudes and bland food. The Denham springs location is better and faster . I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt because it is located so close to a college but , I'm over it now . It's just poor service .

So this place is like the subway of Hibachi. You walk in there is low bar seating to the left and there is a grill and bar area to select your items from. You start by ordering your protein, add your veggies and then you pick your starch. There are other items on the menu that come selected for you. I prefer to build my own..... They have a pretty good selection of proteins and veggies. Everything is cooked to order so you may have to wait a min but it will be worth it! I absolutely love this place!!!!

Express Bowl is one of my favorite places to eat in BR. You have have hibachi in as little as five minutes and it still tastes just like hibachi from a Japanese restaurant. I always get the large bowl with shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, jalapeños, bell peppers, onions, and cauliflower. The portions are really filling and the complimentary sauces pair perfectly with every bowl. I recommend everyone to get their app because you get 25% off your first bowl! They are currently hiring!

Very poor cleanliness , I asked for a towel to wipe a spot to sit myself. It wasn't busy there was just no regard. after cleaning us a spot to eat I went to use the bathroom and was immediately repulsed . It was not clean in no way shape or form and there was no paper towels. The workers were nice but they didn't look like they wanted to be there . This used to be my favorite place and I was highly disappointed

I went here for the first time today, and it was so delicious. You can customize what you want and then it's cooked right in front of you. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly. And they have a nice variety of vegetables to add to to bowl. I picked udon noodles, which were really good.

First time there today. Went with a work friend. We both really liked it. Their prices are reasonable, food is tasty! Staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Definitely will go back.If I had one minor complaint, it would be that the music is so very loud in there, it was extremely hard to hear the employees talking to me and I kept asking them to repeat themselves. Also, you can ask for them to fry your rice for an up charge, but I didn't know that. FYI

POOR SANITATION!This was my first time trying this restaurant and the food looked great so I ordered a small chicken bowl with veggies. The employees greeted me and were very friendly however I think they need a crash course on sanitation and restaurant etiquette. The gentleman who made my food put the raw ingredients in the bowl with no gloves or hairnet on (he had long hair). Then before cooking it he checked me out, I paid with cash. After handling the cash at the register he proceeded to then grab my bowl and cook it on the stove. There was a sink right next to the stove and he did NOT wash his hands before cooking (or at all for that matter). There's really no excuse here besides lack of restaurant training or simply employee laziness. I was extremely off-put by this but also starving so I dug in. The food tasted great until I found a long HAIR in my food!!! (i.e. NO HAIRNET)This is a huge bummer because I really liked the food and the fresh ingredients. I would love to go back but unfortunately I don't feel comfortable given my experience. I give this establishment a 2 star rating for the lack of sanitation. Otherwise the food tasted good and the employees were friendly.

Cook needs more training. Seafood and beef can be added after the veggies cook halfway in order to not overcook. Cook not experienced in asian cuisine should not cook with sauce in squirt bottles, please get the guy a measuring cup.

Food is good! The cleanliness of the establishment is questionable. Sticky eating stations and a restroom that looks as if it had not been cleaned in months. I think it's a place for college students who order and leave and not to dine in.

This may seem like a small thing and I'm getting crap for writing this, but when I order egg with my bowl (Rice or Noodle), I expect it to be scrambled and incorporated into the bowl, not fried and placed on top of all the other ingredients....not a gentle sunny-side up egg, but a hard fried egg just plopped on top of everything. Over all the bowls were good as always, it was just a very odd preparation and one that I would have asked to be re-made had I noticed it before I got home.
