Evangeline II

The place is very nice and service is decent.The etouffee was delicious. The jambalaya however was not and I was so bummed! It wasn't inedible and I was glad to have something to eat but it was bland bland bland.The cocktails were great so I could totally see this as a nice spot for a cocktail date night.Also worth mentioning - bring cash. They take cards but I paid for our small group and got double charged. It was not fun to have to deal with my bank while on vacation.

Evangeline is a pretty cool bar with live music.It wasn't that long ago that I realized that I had been to nearly every bar in Uptown New Orleans. While trying to figure out a new place to go, I stumbled upon this place. I never thought about any bars other than Avenue Pub when I was in this area, so when I discovered Evangeline, I knew I had to check it out.the bar is long and narrow with the bar on one side, video poker on the other and a stage at the end of the building. The night I visited a patron told me about a $2 beer special so that is the direction I went. There is something very cool about listening to a band and drinking $2 Abita. Unfortunately that rarely happens, so when it does, I really appreciate it.Even without the cheap beer, I think Evangeline is a bar where I could see myself becoming a regular.

This bar is a sweet local joint and the definition of dive, we had the best experience with well made, cheap drinks and friendly locals. Jennifer worked her ass off to keep our large crowd and the rest of the bar well taken care of and happy- she was outstanding and this place is awesome!

I used to come to this place years and years ago when it was a dive bar that played Soulja Boy every single time you set foot in that place. I swear, that dude was that place's mascot. Anyway, Evangeline II is A LOT better than that.Evangeline has a nice cozy feel to it, and although it's small, it still has an area for a band to perform. The night we came there was a pretty cool cover band on stage. They have a really good beer selection and I was happy that there was a lot of seating at the bar. The bartender seemed really friendly and laid back and was really good about being prompt with our order.I definitely like this place as a laid back place to catch a band on the Avenue. It has a good atmosphere and a friendly vibe.

My new favorite dive. I come here on Thursday nights for the Ill Vibe with DJ Matic and Nora's amazing Moscow mules.

Pretty place, had a litle trouble getting the bartender's attention for a drink but no bigger....They had a little ameteur show that night, some magical wonders, most good, some were really good...a slight bit unorganized but it was all good.. I enjoyed myself, hey no one is perfect. . . . . I would go back and have some more fun . ..

Very cool bar! It's a smaller space with a mix of customers (locals, visitors and regulars) but everyone seemed to be laid back and friendly. The bartender Delgado is so funny and will take good care of you

This is where I go to drink, feel loved, and be with my family...sooo my review here is completely biased...I looove this place, enough said.

Nice place to be ignored by rude drunk bartenders. I've seen the tattooed bartender spill drinks on herself, drop bottles, fall down behind the bar, make out with some patrons and yell at others for not tipping enough. I've given it several chances and will not be back.

Great bar Great Service Good Vibes!! Our bartender Courtney was awesome and attentive. Bonus: Mannie Fresh was at the bar! Great locals joint
