Ernie's Tours

Ernie is the best! Highly recommend taking his tours! I wish I had the time for the ghost tour, but timings just didn't pan out. I took the Saints and Bastards tour and was amazed at the wealth of knowledge, paired with the humor and stories Ernie shared in addition to the historic component of the tour.

Ernie showed up on time at our designated spot. He was enthusiastic and friendly. We knew right away it was going to be a great tour. We didn't pay for a private tour but it ended up just being my wife and I , so it was a private tour. He is extremely knowledgeable about the city and made the tour fun.He took us to several cemeteries and gave us plenty of opportunities to ask as many questions as possible. Would go on other tours with him and recommend him. We went on another tour the previous night with a different company and was not as good. Ernie is a local with a lot of great knowledge about the city and the area. We took the cemetery tour at 10:30 and it was great! We are locals and we learned things about why the streets are named certain things, how the residents of New Orleans were buried and where. No matter where you are from, Ernie offers a great tour at reasonable prices and it is nice to have the one on one interaction with the small group sizes.

This tour is a must. I wish I would have done it on the 1st day. I learned so much more about NO than I expected. It was much more than just cemetery and voodoo history. Tour guide was really great and knows what his people what and need to know.

Yes, the hype is true: Ernie is awesome!! Highly recommend for the cemetery tour. Super knowledgeable, funny, personable. One of the highlights of our trip.I arranged a tour for 12 ladies visitng New Orleans and we all loved Ernie. Truly a New Orleans treasure.

Stop reading this and call for a reservation immediately!I've been way down south to sweet old New Orleans 6 times, and every time I still play tourist and take tours. Ernie has been my guide for nearly all my tours. The man knows his stuff, and he is phenomenal storyteller. He also happens to have his degree in History. If you are in New Orleans take a tour it's great way to learn the history of the city in a fun way. Pay attention, and do NOT forget to tip the guide.

This tour was AMAZING. I hadn't gotten around to a review for a few months. I took 2 tours. One of the quarter and one of the cemetery. Both were great. Ernie is beyond knowledgable and makes the history lesson you're getting (in addition to the tour) fun. He speaks loud enough for everyone to hear and his pace is perfect. He was funny, personable and interacts with everyone. I would recommend his tour to everyone.

Best tour for people that want real history from a local. Nothing gimmicky honest stories with lots of research. A history major with tales that are creepy but also some brave souls. One of the unexpected highlights of the tour is where you meet, Boondock Saints. The best bar in New Orleans

This was a really good tour. It appears that Ernie has done his own research over the years and is providing accurate information, not a script. Do a private tour, it was awesome!
