Empire Bar is the place to go if you are looking for great drinks and small bits. This bar has a happy hour Wednesday-Saturday with drinks for $5.00. The ambiance here is nice and quiet. So in order to find the Empire Bar you have to find Broussards restaurant. The bar is located in the same building and is next to the restaurant. The service here is great and all the drinks and food look ok like art.

I've never had anything less than a fantastically memorable experience at Broussards but here's a tip few tourists know:Get out of the loud and into the sublime by slipping off Bourbon and heading straight back to this bar. It may look like a full house out front but just ask if the bar is available.. even on a full Friday night yesterday: bar open. And then ask for the Ramos Gin Fizz- I actually crave this drink when I'm away. The bar staff are excellent and you feel a bit of a relaxation come over you before heading back out into the fray. I don't do the Bourbon street thing but I'll weather the walk to get here.

I do love the fancy decor of this bar...attached to Broussards Restaurant. You feel very swanky have a drink and visiting with friends. Before the opera the other night, I stopped in for a beverage and snack. Their HH bites are $5 each and are very tasty. I had the fries and the shrimp remoulade, 2 shrimps with a bit of salad, which were perfect. I probably could have eaten a 1/2 dozen more of these. But the fries were plentiful and filled me up. I had a lovely sparkling rose for $7 HH price. BEST of all was the friendly staff. I had recently been to another fancy FQ bar, attached to a restaurant and could barely get the attention of the staff. So that I ended up chatting with the workers about the weather, the opera, what their other jobs were... you know the usual, was great.

Dropped by for some early evening cocktails after exploring the quarter. This place is elegant and beautiful. The cocktail list is concise, but offers plenty of variety. The bartender was on top of his game.Worth stopping by to sip on a cocktail and enjoy the beautiful space.

Hidden gem of the French Quarter!!!Arnauds French 75, Latitude 29, Carousel Bar... all your premier locations n the quarter if you're not looking for "red, blue or purple drink!"Ordered a French 76, which is the classic French 75 but with Ketel One instead of gin. Definitely a must during happy hour when it's only $5!

Two words: gin fizz. I've never had it before but will now try to make it a staple. The environment is super cute and love all the cocktails they're serving. Great escape from the hustle and bustle of bourbon st!

This is seriously a hidden gem! One of the longest HH is the city from 4-7 M-F and 2:30-7 SS! How can you go wrong when you are in the French quarter and need a snack?! The Cajun sliders are amazing, we also tried the crab and corn fritters-yum and the pommes daulphine (cheese smothered fries). Sadly the fancy cocktails are not on special, but wine, beer and basic drinks are $5. Honestly, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is classy and vintage and the bar is next to the courtyard so it's airy and light. I will definitely be back.
