Eloise Market and Cakery

I had an amazing experience at Eloise Market and Cakery during a king cake-making class led by the wonderful owner and head baker, Madeline. She was incredibly welcoming, sharing her story and guiding us through each step in a way that made the process fun and approachable. I loved how hands-on and personable she was, even stopping by our table to help. The setup, supplies, and demonstrations were seamless, and she even kept us entertained with a few rounds of Bingo!One of the best parts? We got to enjoy our king cakes warm, and they were absolutely delicious! The flavors perfectly captured the traditional taste everyone knows and loves.The ambiance of the market is vibrant yet cozy--like stepping into a birthday party. Eloise Market and Cakery is a true gem, and Madeline's hospitality makes it feel like home. Can't wait to bring my friends and family for a visit!! Also excited for her well-deserved expansion with the Market and Cakery's relocation in August!

What a cute little bakery! The store is decorated super cute and smells amazing. Attended the King Cake class and it was an absolute blast! Very well organized and lots of fun. The owner, Madelyn, is super sweet and did a great job hosting the event. She really has this down to a science! Looking forward to another class soon.

Eloise Market and Cakery has interactive baking classes. This is probably one of my favorite things to do in Baton Rouge! I attended a Mardi Gras King Cake class last night, and it was so fun.These classes are right in her bakery, which is adorable. She has tables set out and everything you need, so you really just need to show up. Before we got started, Mady told us a little bit about her and what we could expect throughout the class. Then, we started! At each table, there were rolling pins, flour, cinnamon, and dough to start. Mady is a great teacher, slowly showing us what to do with the king cakes and stopping to help us. She also gave us the option to do the king cake braid, which I didn't do, but I liked how there were different options you could do based on skill level. After we shaped our king cakes, they had to go in the oven for a few minutes. During this time, we played bingo, and Mady had tons of different prizes. This is was a lot of fun and made the time fly by.When the king cakes came out of the oven, she passed out our king cakes to us, and we began to frost and decorate. Then, we were ready to take our king cakes home.The class wasn't too big, so I was able to ask questions and get help if needed. I also loved that we took a whole king cake from this bakery home with us! Will definitely be coming back.

Love everything about this place ! Come for the desserts , stay for the vibes ! The largest brownies and cookies I've ever seen. This is definitely a spot to try ! went to a king cake making party at Eloise's with a friend. It was so much fun. Maddy is hilarious and had great music choice. Just the pick me up I needed.. thanks Maddy!

I really don't think I could be anymore obsessed with this place: I had my daughter's birthday here and the woman who owns it is super sweet, helpful, and so easy to get along with.The kids got to decorate a cake and they had so much fun doing it. The gelato she keeps in stock is also amazing. My boyfriend got my birthday cake here and I absolutely loved it. She's also very reasonably priced and answered all of my questions easy.

My first visit was for a thanksgiving Cake decorating class last year that was so much fun. I went with one other friend & we enjoyed the full experience. Maddy was a great teacher and we felt like professionals with her guidance. I was invited back a few months later to a king cake decorating class with a small group of friends and the cakes were EXTREMELY delicious and really funny to make. While they baked we played bingo for prizes. I returned with yelp just before Mother's Day for a cupcake decorating class to celebrate the holiday. This experience was different from my previous and still so much fun. Each class tested your skills, taught you new ones, but with Maddy's instruction you will leave with an amazing finished product. The snowballs were newly introduced that visit and they ice was so soft and they offer a huge selection of flavors. I am looking forward to going back again with another group of friends

My experience was just...ok‍? ordered a cake for my boyfriend's birthday and specifically wanted footballs and his school's colors on it. When I went to go pick it up it had soccer balls and no school colors anywhere. After discussing with the employee, she was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to fix the cake for me. Good thing everything was able to be fixed at that moment because I was traveling a few hours with this cake. Overall, the service is good, but attention to directions not so much.

Super cute in here! The cake batter gives the cookies a very unique texture that just leaves you wanting another bite. They're huge! Very flavorful as well. Would recommend

I had never been to this establishment before the Yelp Elite event and I used to love a couple miles away. The owner is so polite and patient. They offer cakes, cookies, and brownies. I can't wait to sign up to take a king cake class with my girls.
