El Saltillo

Loved it. Good food. Good service. More than reasonable prices. I had the California Burrito. Flavorful. Iced tea and burrito for $13.27 is a bargain, even if they add a small surcharge for using a credit card, like most restaurants do down here on the Gulf OF MEXICO. I saw a free self serve Soup counter (with a lunch or dinner meal) that I didn't know they had, but I was too full from the giant burrito.

So good. Great prices. Margarita specials. Queso was perfect. No wait. Our server was super cool, food came out in about 10 minutes. Will definitely go back!

Good Mexican place to get some dinner. I was going to subtract 1 star because one of our party's glass had a split seam and it was leaking beverage all over him and his place/silverware/napkin. But it was quickly remedied and due to the fact that this restaurant is open until 10pm, whereas many of the places I was finding at 820 PM tonight were either closed or about to close and I was afraid I was going to have to settle for McDonald's I'm gonna put the star back. Our waiter was quite helpful and able to answer our questions. Insanely large portion sizes!!! We needed 4 doggie bags because it was just so much! Very good food, would for sure eat here again.

Large portions! I got the California burrito. I enjoyed the chili sauce and queso cheese on top. The food was good and friendly staff.

It's crazy, but one of the best burgers on the coast is definitely the El Saltillo burger. when other people told me this, I didn't believe them, but I finally broke down and tried it. I don't regret it and it's probably in my top three along coast.

Only Mexican restaurant I've been to in Long Beach so far. I absolutely love their Grilled Shrimp Tacos. They are $4 each. My husband ordered the grilled chicken tacos before & he said they were excellent. The Combination A option is delicious as well. This dish is typically called a Speedy Gonzales in most Mexican restaurants. The servers are friendly & the food always comes out fast & hot. The restaurant itself is pretty clean. They have a relatively small bar located at the back of the restaurant. Haven't tried any cocktails yet but most likely will soon. I'd recommend El Saltillo to somebody looking for some good Mexican food.

I will say I live in California so my judging of Mexican food may be more harsh, but this food is just fine. Nothing too special, but also not bad. The prices make up for it! Pretty cheap for the portions.Service here was so-so tonight, but they may have been having a bad night. The house margarita was also just ok - not terrible but not super great. I got the chicken and steak fajitas which I felt were a hard dish to mess up, and they did taste good. Overall, mediocre but ok. Met the expectations that I had.

This is our favorite weekly Mexican spot. The food is very good. The 27 oz margaritas for $4.99 are the best. Very reasonably priced for great food.

I've not been much of a Mexican food fan but at this place, El Saltillo I have loved everythingI tried new there. There is a large selection of menu to choose from.

Great food! Fast and Fresh! Friendly service! Reasonable prices and take out is just as good as eating in.
