Open late which is something of a rarity. Open late with authentic Tacos, burritos, fresh made chips and salsa is another. Be back soon and not just for late night burrito cravings

Doesn't look like much of a place, but a true hidden gem in the city. It's hard to beat $3-$4 tacos stuffed to the max. I love the service. I love the authenticity. Sometimes they only take cash, but they have an atm. The food is really good. The service is great! I love the quesadillas and the Fajita plate. Fajita plate sizzles when you receive it. So good! They have a variety of options at the bar, but I would stick to a beer. Margarita was simply okay. Next time I'm there, I'll take pictures of the food.

My intention was actually to go to Taqueria Guerrero which I found out is only a couple of doors down. I only realized that I was in the wrong place when I noticed that the menu was pretty limited, not only compared to the (wrong) one that I had looked at online, but just kind of limited in general. They brought two variations of salsa to the table with chips. The red salsa was disappointing. They also brought a creamy salsa verde which was decent on the food itself but I wasn't a fan of it paired with the chips. Pretty solid tacos though.

El Rinconcito is not for those in a hurry. I suggest coming to this restaurant when you have time to kill, but if you do, I think you'll enjoy it. The atmosphere is relaxing and feels homely- it must be the pastel colored walls or the Mexican music coming from the jukebox in the bar, You may have to get a waitresses' attention (both times I went there was only one waitress on duty who also told me she was the cook and the bartender... this was at lunch time) but once you know what you want she'll bring you drinks and have your order up in no time.As for the food itself, it's pretty damn good. So far, I've had the carne asada and the burritos (be warned, these are American sized ones) and I wasn't disappointed. The asada also came with rice, beans, corn tortilla, and chips. Both were moderately priced, I never paid more than 12 dollars.Overall, if you're looking for a relaxed dining experience with a wide array of Latin American food choices then El Rinconcito (NOT El Rinconsito) fits the bill.

I don't understand why this place has such bad reviews.I went here with a group of about 15 and we received very good customer service. They put together tables for us and tried to meet our needs to their best ability. Sure, they got two of the orders mixed up, but it was one server for a large group of people who had been drinking. As for the food, I had two tacos. The pastor and asada. They were delicious. And cheap ($2 tacos). Reminded me of the taco carts in Portland, although those are even cheaper at $1.50/taco. Most people sitting near me got tacos but someone got a quesadilla and she seemed to enjoy her food.I agree with Emerson J. If you go here knowing what you want, you will be fine. Don't expect the servers to give you a fancy explanation for the dishes on the menu.

I walked into this place during Endymion. The menu options during the parade were 3 tacos, beef nachos, quesadillas or burritos. The meat options for the tacos were chicken, beef, and chorizo. I tried to get two chicken tacos & one chorizo but was told I had to get all of them the same. I went with chicken tacos and an order of beef nachos. I only got the nachos because I was told I needed to spend $10 minimum with a credit card. Well the food was done pretty quick. It turns out the beef nachos were much better than the tacos. The chicken wasn't seasoned at all. The staff was very nice though.

Tiny place, was empty when I got there for an early dinner - which worked to my advantage because I was able to speak to the young lady behind the bar easier. I don't eat meant so she recommended a dish made of mixed seafood and rice with "coco" sauce. Was deelish and not too spendy. I've also attached updated photos of the menu because all I could find online (they don't have a website) were blurry.
