Great place in the city to sit, relax & reflect. From here you can see City Hall, the local library, Charity Hospital, hotels & lots of sights. Peaceful in its own right, this is place frequented by the homeless as well. On the weekend, I've seen tents up & folks sleeping on the grass. Could be the homeless or it could be a visitor... either way, the peacefulness of the area is evident.Pass thru and see for yourself.

This is the underutilized green space across from City Hall. I've mostly just walked across the plaza (watch where you step) while walking over to City Hall or the Civil Court. Although I did each lunch outside hear at least once last time I was on jury duty at Civil Court. There is a pavilion; it is not well kept up. You will also see gathering here for political reasons pretty often. There seemed to be a candidate rally on Saturday morning when I was there. This was also the location of a huge homeless camp post-Katrina and the Occupy movement a few years ago. So not necessarily a place to bring the kids to play.

Really lackluster 'green space' in a city that has far better ones.
