The food is solid. Everyone loves the seafood platter. I like their gumbo and I am pretty picky when it comes to gumbo. The hush puppies are delicious. The duke'd up shrimp and/or oysters are a must. Highly recommend the Baked Shrimp Classic !!!

Business was slow on this night. The server was polite, attentive, and gave his input on the food when we asked. The service was the only thing I'd give a 10/10. Even on a busy night, the servers have always been great. For the appetizer we had the artichoke dip with bread. The bread was ok, I should have asked for it crispier and the artichoke still has some skin on it. I'd give it a 4/10For our main course we had the sautéed seafood salad and the 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 catfish. The salad was an 8/10. Unfortunately it was $18 which is a little high for me. The 1/2 and 1/2 was good. Decent portion size. Everything was seasoned decently. 9/10. I would say $19 was fitting for that.I did have the summer punch (rum drink) which was slamming. $9 well worth it. I just wish they had a larger size lol 10/10.

There was a large roach in my crawfish. The manager on duty, blonde, older woman, said that the kitchen manager told her to tell me it was bound to happen every now and then. I told her that was unacceptable and they should throw away the whole batch since it was contaminated. I had already eaten half of my four lb order when I found the roach. I told them not to charge me for the crawfish. They did not charge me for the crawfish after this. Anyone eating crawfish tonight, 2/5/2025. BEWARE DUKE'S SEAFOOD in Denham Springs, LA

Today was just a bad day! Upon arriving at home to review my food which was an 8-minute drive, I was lucky enough to get a cold rare (ordered medium) steak, a cold potato without toppings other than cheese a salad composed of one crouton, lettuce and a salad a dash of cheese. I asked for an extra dressing which I am sure I was charged and didn't receive. I would be more definitive with my statement but wasn't giving an itemized receipt. I was told it would be 20 minutes and there in 15 to have my food waiting which would have been great if it was all hot. I would definitely never get another order to go whether checking it or not. Dining in would be my suggestion for anyone who wants their food cook properly. Scale of 1 to 10 and today is a weak 2. I expected more than what was presented for the $40 spent.....

You will not be disappointed in the crab cake - so much crab, so little breading - easily one of the best crab cakes I've ever had. We also got the seafood gumbo that was great and stuffed flounder, which was just ok. Our server was very nice and attentive.
