Double Hill Bar & Grill

Service was great. Friendly fun atmosphere. I could give full 5 stars because there were no steaks or Hamburger steaks. My guests were very disappointed.

I was sitting in my hotel at 10:00 pm on a Saturday and was getting pretty hungry. I knew my options were limited (especially way down here on Grand Caillou) so my expectations were low. Since this place did not yet have any reviews, I figured I could be their first and write my first Yelp review at the same time.I presumed I would find a smoke filled bar with crappy food. Happy to say I was way off. Not only was it a non smoking bar/restaurant but it was actually a very nice place. They even have 6 pool tables and 2 dart boards which looked fairly new. The jukebox sounded great and it played the whole time I was there. Heck...even the bathrooms were clean.The cook personally brought my food to me which I think is a nice touch. My cheeseburger was juicy, cooked the way I like it and with just the right amount seasoning. The fries were hot, had really good flavor and were not at all greasy. I ate every bite and then had some dessert which was also quite delicious. Overall the food was very good. But not just, "late Saturday night, nothing open" kind of good, it was genuinely good food. But as good as it was, it was still only the second best thing about this place.What really impressed me was the service. Angela the bartender was incredible! I'm not kidding. She was super friendly, professional and her attentiveness was outstanding!!! Even as they got busier(ish) she still made me feel as though I was her only customer. She was nonstop the entire time I was there. I actually saw her pull the coolers away from the wall to clean behind them. You can tell she really enjoys her job. That kind of service is hard to find regardless of where you are and in my opinion Angela is top notch!I will definitely be back to this restaurant. Houma never disappoints me even at 10:00 pm on a Saturday. I need to learn to have higher expectations when I come down here LOL.

The Double Hill Burger is Amazing, and the Mac n Chess is also really good. Liked the place and the staff were very friendly.

The Hill is one of my favorite places. They have great food. The staff is awesome. The pool tables are in excellent condition. They don't have pool chalk though due to the fact that most of the regulars are avid pool players(champs) and have their own gloves. The tables are immaculate because of it.

(Speaking mainly of the kitchen, as my family rarely goes "out")Great food, open late, amazing service. I could sit here and spin a whole story but just go try them. The best burger in Terrebonne Parish, and everything else we've tried on the menu has been extraordinary. A true diamond in the rough.
