Dong Khanh Supermarket

Small but very friendly and well stocked. They had fresh bean sprouts when Hong Kong Market was out. Quality alternative to the big stores.

Going back today, need more black vinegar from Singapore! And want more dumplings and shimmies - but will not purchase any with shrimp- those are nasty!

The owners are very friendly people and I grew up coming to this place. I like it much better than the other Asian market, Hong Kong. Everything here at Dong Khanh is easy to find. The lines are never long like Hong Kong. It's easy in and easy out which is convenient for people especially with small kids.

Dong Khanh continues to be my go-to Asian grocery store when in the New Orleans area. Although there are now big name chains like Hong Kong and 88 in the immediate area, Dong Khanh is still as strong as in the past. They have pretty much everything you want in an Asian (Vietnamese) grocery store. Their produce, meats, and seafood are fresh. They now have a big selection of Vietnamese desserts and pastries. These are usually made by outside suppliers and sold at Dong Khanh. They also have fresh baguettes from Dong Phuong or Hi-Do Bakery. The cashiers are also owners of Dong Khanh. They are always very nice and helpful in telling you where something is. Just ask them and they will send you to the appropriate aisles.

Great place to get exotic fruits like dragon fruit, durian, rambutan, jackfruit, and more! Great place to get lots of Vietnamese or any Asian inspired snacks, forgive me, I'm not sure which country this place represents, haven't been in a while, but still a great nice and small place, staff is friendly and I love being able to get to exotic fruits! Hope to come back soon!

Great mom and pop Asian market that has great product and fresh produce. The options are vast.

This is a great mom and pop Asian market. The owner is so sweet and he was super helpful. I will return frequently because the service is excellent and I was able to get everything I needed quickly and affordable!

I love this place because it close to us. but I also been going here when I was with my grandpa, when I was young. We also know the people who work there. I say those, it got good thing and nice/friendly workers.

Smaller Asian market than Hong Kong, carries the same grocery items, but Dong Khanh has the fresher and more quality meats/seafood/Asian goods. Their Che (Vietnamese dessert cups) are my favorites.
