Don Taco Village

I'm so surprised by all the negative reviews!! I eat here probably once a month and have never had a bad experience. The people are always incredibly kind, and the atmosphere isn't something to criticize (though admittedly maybe a little bland). I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my food either!

I've been looking for Birria Taco, Pizza, Noodles! And it's all here ! Food is fast and flavorful I stuffed myself ordering all I could gotta go back for round 2. Service is very nice and patient answering all our questions. The ambiance is homely and alive super cute place. Me and my fiancé will be back to try everything we didn't get a chance to !!

The best and most authentic tacos and birra on the Northshore. Delicious food made in a family restaurant. The homemade sauces are the bomb, the people there are just lovely, and the specials are always a treat. They also have an amazing selection of deserts.

Had the pleasure of visiting this quaint small corner restaurant while on the Northshore. The owners were soo personable. They asked me about my family, what brought me to their restaurant, checked on us often at the table, and wished us safety traveling back home to the Southshore. The kids and I enjoyed our food. I really wanted to try Burris tacos and ramen and that spicy corn. OMG so good. Authentic Mexican food NOT that Taco Bell stuff LOL can't wait to come back

I'd give Don Taco Village zero stars if I could. I've been out to eat enough times to know that no experience will be perfect, but the number of disappointing aspects of this restaurant is mind-boggling.We went to Don Taco Village for lunch and wanted to beat the rush, so we arrived a little before noon. The restaurant was empty and filled with smoke. At first it smelled amazing, but after sitting in that environment for a while, my eyes began to burn.Since it was our first time, we sat with the menus to decide what we wanted before we ordered at the counter. After walking up to the counter, we probably waited at least five minutes for the woman to come out of the kitchen and help us.We ordered two birria tacos, one Don Taco style-grilled steak taco, a medium chori-queso, one street corn, and two drinks. We wanted horchata and melon but were told they didn't have either. We settled on two lime-cucumber drinks, which were WAY too sweet.According to the prices on their printed menus, our total before tax should've been $26.50. Instead, our total was $42.00. The woman kept having to answer the phone and take orders while she was ringing us up, so we didn't have a chance to clarify the price difference.The tacos were tasty, but very small. There was no chorizo in the chori-queso and it was watery and tasteless. The chips were overly fried.When our food was brought to us the woman said the street corn was on the way. By this point, there was a line nearly out the door and it was just this one woman taking orders, answering the phone, and bussing tables. Eventually the street corn came after we had finished the rest of our food. It was mediocre at best.Why is this place so popular? The food is incredibly over priced (assuming they raised their prices and didn't update their menus?) and the service isn't great. STAY AWAY!!!

I have been wanting to try Birria Tacos for a while and was worried they would not be up to the TikTok hype. BOY WAS I WRONGI ordered some Birria Tacos from Dons and I am beyond impressed! They were so juicy, cheesy, crunchy and soft. Just the best tacos I've ever had and the only ones I ever want to eat again.

Five stars. The nice woman behind the counter was kind and easy going. The Chef in the back knows how to cook. I ordered Birria Tacos. I will not spend any more money at Taco bell after this experience.

Food was amazing. Great customer service. The birria pizzadilla is a must. It can feed quite a few ppl.

Personally I like my queso not water consistency. Tacos aren't bad though maybe a little more meat needed

The service was amazing and the waitress was really nice and attentive. She checked in with us several times while we were eating to make sure we did not need for anything. The food was delicious and the birria taco were so die for, especially with the sauce that came with it. I also like the decoration and Mexican ambiance that was around the restaurant and I really enjoyed the experience that I had. Definitely will go again!
