Dollar Zone Plus

I had a HORRIBLE experience here. I purchased several balloons for my sons birthday photo shoot. I purchased latex and also a big number 3. (One of the metallic ones) Everything was fine, the African American lady took my order and rang me up. They gave me 2 bags- one with the latex balloons and the other with two latex balloons & the big number 3. I put the bigger bag in the back seat of my car and the big number 3 in my front passenger seat. I then close the door, get in my car and turn it on & then it suddenly pops! (Only the number 3 none of the latex ones) Mind you I haven't even driven off of the parking lot, I didn't even put the car in reverse! So obviously I go back in with my bag and the popped balloon inside of it and as soon as I walked in the Hispanic lady (that has eyeliner all around her eyelids and on the bags under her eyes looking like a raccoon) started telling me "oh you popped it!" "There must be some thing sharp in your car" "You smashed it with the car door" " we never have problems with these balloons" I didn't even open my mouth and she immediately started to attack me and got on the defensive. Now, why on earth would I want to pop my own balloon when clearly I needed it. And why would there be something "sharp" in my passenger seat. Either, way too much helium was put into the balloon or it was defective. Not every balloon that they get is perfect, there's no way that I'm the first person this has happened to. Honestly, I don't understand how this store is still open because that lady is extremely unprofessional and has NO type of customer service & apparently I'm not the only one that has had a bad experience. I guess that's why the other store in Marrero closed.

today 11/29/2024 i walked to the counter and purchase $38 worth of ballons and then realize i needed a few other party items the very rude owner told me that my purse was too large to go towards the back of the store, she told me i can leave my purse with her....i when outside to car came back to purchse $22 more items.... i'm feeling so horrible all day! why she treated me this way? I have use this store many times. my ballons will be ready tomorrow 11/30/2024 for my twins 14th Birthday at noon. it will be hurtful to reenter this place.

This is my go to zone . What ever I need to decorate any of my events I can count on Dollar zone to come through for me. It is now renovated and carries a more large variety of items.

Horrible place! Do not get balloons from this place. Paid for helium and once home they were deflating. Called and they said we must have hit all dozen balloons on something and that's why they deflated. She said once balloons leave the store they are not responsible. (Easy way to clean your hands huh). I don't know what type of cheap helium they are using but they were a waste of money. The fact that they don't care to fix the issue shows a lot.. spend the extra money and go to party city. These people are inconsiderate and dishonest. So much for supporting locally. An embarrassment of owners I would say. 1 star ONLY bc I have to rate this review.

Horrible experience! They over fill the balloons and charge you for more when they pop. Scam artists. They sell cheap products and don't offer refunds or exchange for the defective items that they sell. Same price as party city without the quality or customer service. Please take your business else where.

I would like to be able to give a none star, however, I went into this store back on February with my 5 years old boy and my 7 month old baby in his stroller to buy supplies for my boy birthday party, they have PLENTY of signs on the door, I read some, including one saying NOT REST-ROOM NO EPCEPTIONS but I missed the one for the strollers! anyways, went inside and start shopping, we already have some stuff when a white lady very rude came to me and told me that I can't be in the store with the stroller, I asked her why, and she said that's the rule and sign is on the door, I keep asking why not if I have a 7 month baby, she answered back very rude the same that's the rule! I told my boy to put everything back because we are not welcome in that store, the woman said people use stroller to steal that's why you can't be here with the stroller, how that hell you prohibit someone with a baby to go in your business with stroller, literally she kicked us out in a very rude way and insinuate that the stroller is for steal!!!! will NEVER EVER come back to this place!! I don't go to spend my money where my kids are not welcome.

Great and amazing store. Fair prices and people there are really nice and respectful.Defiantly recommend to others who need to but party supplies. Love it. Will gladly go back again. If there's something you can't find at a store and are looking for party supplies, this is the place to go. It's a beauty in disguise.

This store ir horrible I was treated like a thief I purchased $4.98 worth of items my debit card was charged twice I went back with my receipt I was told maybe I returned items manager checked her cameras which she didn't see me in the store returning item also she pulled her register receipt which of course I was still the thief remember we are talking about $4.94 now I have been waiting about 30min. So you will put this money back on my card until you check futher then if it is not found you will remove it from my card which gives you access to my account. I called my bank the teller verified that transactions came out twice 2seconds apart. I will never shop at this store again.BUYERS BEWARE THERE ARE PLENTY NEGATIVE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS STORE. I WILL TELL ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ABOUT THEIR SNEAKY THEFTS. I KNOW $4.94 IS NOT A LOT BUT JUST THINK HOW MANY PEOPLE THIS IS DONE TO THAT DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR TRANSACTIONS. BUYER BEWARE

Don't WASTE your hard earned money shopping here. Rude workers and terrible customer service. I will never spend another dollar in this store.
