Ooh wee! Dirty Dishes was just added to my list of favorite food trucks about 30 minutes ago when I devoured one of their plates inside of Canal Place! I found out about Food Truck Fridays in front of Canal Place not long ago via Instagram and this Friday, I saw that Dirty Dishes would be there. Since I had yet to try them, I figured why not!It was more of a brunchy lunchy fest so I was a total fan. I can eat breakfast any time of day. There were a few of their well-known specialties on the menu such as the dirty mac and cheese and BBQ shrimp and grits, but I wanted to try something a little sweeter.I originally wanted the Praline Chicken and Waffle Sandwich but they were all out! My next choice were the Hot Sausage Stuffed Waffles, which I am SO glad I chose. These were huge, soft Belgian waffles with crispy outsides and warm, spicy hot sausage-filled insides. A TOTAL flavor punch. The praline glaze was much like a light syrup that was just the right amount of sweet. The powdered sugar touch was a nice addition. Truthfully, all I needed on the side was a mimosa (or 3) to make this into the perfect brunch. I'm a big fan already, make sure to put this on your list of NOLA food trucks to visit if you haven't yet!

Attending the Gretna Food Truck Fest, Dirty Dishes was unfamiliar, but I was intrigued by the mac and cheese with gouda, crawfish and turkey tasso. It is a great taste combination with a creamy texture. You should check them out.

I love their Mac and cheese. First fell in love with the Dirty Mac at Brunch fest and kept following this group on Facebook. I love the mix of cheese and local crawfish with a hint of spice. Yep... every bite has a kick, and it's a good one. This time I tried the surf and turf which has shrimp, sausage, and crawfish. It's delicious. Although the Tasso creme sauce takes the gold in my book.

Dirty Dishes was one of the two food trucks that my friends recently hired to cater their wedding. What an inspired decision this was! The food options were creative and inventive, and absolutely AMAZING! I'm not quite sure how many menu options they typically offer, but for the wedding, they narrowed it to 3 selections very different in taste and everyone could find something (or everything) that appealed to their tastes. I also don't know if all their options are served over waffle, but the 3 we had were. We had;The MUNCH - smoked Gouda Mac and cheese with crawfish, turkey Tasso & BBQ pulled pork over a garlic buttered waffle. ( SOOO much flavor going on here!)The DIRTY FLORENTINE - creamed spinach with 5 blended cheeses with shrimp over a garlic buttered waffle. (My personal favorite- absolutely divine!!)The DIRTY WHODAT- praline pecan sauce over waffle. ( I had a bit of someone else's and if you like praline, you'll love this!) I had to snap a pic of the menu board so that I could remember what was in everything, I didn't want to leave anything out of the review. ;) I now follow them on twitter at @dirtydishesnola to find out where they will be next. I think they're on most social media so that you can find them wherever they are in town.

Caught these guys at a street food derby. Very cool and friendly vendors and really nice truck. Love the name too! Some there were other vendors and I wanted to try them all, I only tried the "Dirty Mac", which was a smoked Gouda Mac n Cheese dish with crawfish and turkey Tasso, topped with Parmesan cheese. It was fantastic and so glad I chose this! It was seasoned exactly to my liking, and you could definitely taste all the flavors mentioned. My boyfriend and I shared the one dish between the both of us and we were each fighting between bites for more! Can't wait to try everything else on the menu! Good job, guys!

We stumbled upon this on New Year's Eve at the St Roch Market....Best find ever!!!!! We are from Florida and wished we had one there. Everything we come back to visit Nola we make this a must stop. We have had the dirty Mac crepe, the much, the classic....going back in the morning for breakfast and the king cake crepe....my mouth is watering just thinking about this. Mac n cheese and bbq pulled pork in a creep or on a grilled sandwich, what more could you ask for!!!!! A++++++P.S. The people cooking the food and taking orders are always super nice.

Great food! Great people! Loved all of the food for a small birthday brunch! Especially during these times it's great to know that people are taking precautions in making it easy to have events safely. They pulled up the food truck and served a fabulous brunch. Everything was so easy to set up with them and there are a lot of options to choose from.
