I have done business with Barry for over 25 years. He is fair in price and very trustworthy with your stones. I have had stones replaced, settings made. He has also repaired sterling silver jewelry. He has been in business for longer than I have owned any gold/diamonds haha.As a matter of fact I will be back in for a repair of a sterling bracelet. Keep up the good work Barry and Staff.

I have been going to Designs in Jewelry for over 30 years and have never been disappointed in the quality of the service or the merchandise. Barry and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would not trust anyone else when it comes to purchasing diamonds, gems, gold or silver. Designs in Jewlery is owned and operated by a local and has been in the area for years! He helped design my wedding band and engagement ring and it is structurally sound! He works in a timely manor and cares deeply for his customers! It really doesn't get any better than this!

Awful dude. Should have left this review 10 years ago when we went in to get our engagement rings he completely insulted my husband and the quality of the diamond he worked HARD in med school to buy. Now, ten years later, with more disposable income to spare, I wouldn't waste ONE cent in this place. Barry, u probably don't remember me but I remember you and your failed attempt at customer service. 0 stars.

Thanks Barry for the beautiful ring I bought for my amazing wife that I have been married to for 16 years. It brought back memories when I was in there 17 years ago buying her wedding diamond. She still gets complements from strangers like the first day I gave it to her. You have beautiful jewelry at great prices with exceptional service that you can not find in other jewelers in the area. I love the outstanding service that I receive every time I walk in the store.Barry cleans our rings as soon as we walk in to make them look like the first day we bought them. Barry treats everyone like family and goes above and beyond for customer service. I bought a diamond bracelet from Barry for our 10 year anniversary to give my wife. After I bought the Bracelet, Barry took it to the back and said, I don't want you to loose it and placed a small chain around the clasp in case it accidentally unclasped. He did not charge us for that service. He cares about his customers and every special piece of jewelry that he sells.When I tell my daughter that I want to buy her mom a new piece of jewelry, my daughter is now saying, "Are we going to see Barry with all the amazing looking jewelry in Metairie?" We moved to Mobile about 7 years ago and it is still worth the drive to see Barry!
