Love this place my boo and I had a blast!! And the drinks were amazing will recommend a friend

Went here with a group and had a booth/table. I enjoyed the ambience and music. We went when Covid was still quite a concern, the place had a decent number of patrons but not too crowded. I did not try any of the food. I like that the patrons were a mixed crowd. I would definitely go again now that vaccinations are more prominent.

Fun & funky spot. Great drinks and usually great music too. The night we were there, the bartender was willing to try a few new recipes (with my instruction) and did a great job. The music was fun, lots of dancing too.Great spot for a night out with friends!

I've been here a couple of times to hear some live music. While I am not a fan of paying covers, I understand part of the cover does go to the musicians. And it's Tigerland, so I guess the college kids are used to paying covers.I love the artwork around the building - if you have not come here for the music, coming to see the walls is reason enough to come. Stunning and room for more of the "dead poets" to come. Staff was friendly, but on my first visit, the bar was out of at least four things I tried to order. I settled for a beer i drink more often. Seating was pretty limited, but i think it would have been better had a photo shoot not been taking over the entire top level. None of the locks in the bathroom worked, but there wasn't high traffic on this night.The sound system went out a couple of times while the band was on stage, but it was a really easy-going crowd and band, so it was all good.I'll be selective in my nights to return to to Dead Poets, but it's a pretty good venue if you want to trek out to the LSU area.

Super chill bar. It's very trendy. There weren't many people and when I went. Great place to host an event, or even have a party. They do not serve food. The bartender or manager told me they host karaoke, I think maybe trivia night. If you don't want to be in a hole in the wall or regular bar.... looking for something that's laid-back with a classy twist this would be the place to be.

Great place for the grown and sexy! It's a chill vibe on Friday nights. I enjoyed the music selection and drink quality. I will be returning with my girlfriends!

The venue was A VIBE! Wine Down Wednesday was a hit! The music, the drinks, the staff were all top tier! I will for sure be back and encourage others to experience this place as well!!

Dead Poet is lovely inside. There's a nice stage area and a lot of room for dancing. Great sound system. Seems like they're still figuring some stuff out. There weren't tables in the upper seating area. The bathroom was pretty but the hooks on two of the stalls didn't seem to line up right and one was out of TP. There wasn't a beer/drink list, so you either need good enough eye sight to read the taps or guess. Like all BR bars there's no smoking, so you have to go outside but they don't have a smoking area and you can't bring your drink out.

Bartender Christian provides first class, 5-star service! This place is great, and had excellent drinks. Dead Poet Society is a great place.

Our visit to Baton Rouge was flavorful, warm, and enjoyable and The Dead Poet certainly helped a lot with that experience. The lighting is nice, the staff is incredibly good at what they do, and the drink deals are a nice touch! I will def be back again :)
