This place is always good. Great plate lunches every day. Plus it's alway a great amount so you always leave full. Try it out if you're looking for great food

If your starving for some home cooked meal, don't waste your money here. Overpriced but mostly not tasty.

Make no mistake-- David's deserves 1 star, but the fried chicken was good and the staff was nice, so they get 2 stars. The fried shrimp were mediocre and the poboy bread was just average (and not real poboy bread). The fries were plain and the sides were very forgettable. The twice baked potatoes looked good but weren't nearly as good as they looked. Another party made the same observation. The ribs smelled good but were too tender, if you can imagine that. I like a bit more texture. The meat was all over the place. Simply put, my first visit was my last visit. My expectations were too high and the food let me down. FYI: They do have a lot of food items to choose from.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Baton Rouge. Everything here is amazing. And on Fridays after 5pm they cook ribeye steaks outside on an open pit.

Due to handicaps, I don't cook much anymore so started going to David's Tiger Express for lunch at least once a week. The food is always fresh, lots of choices along with lunch menu every day. The staff is so helpful sometimes bringing my order to the car for me on those days when not feeling 100%.They are very professional and an awesome crew. Please give them a try, I think you'll be delighted to do business with such a caring business in our community.

Had the hamburger and fries. The fries were better than the burger. I'll stick with the hot bar next visit.

I went in David's Tiger Express today between 8:10-8:30am. I essentially ordered a regular breakfast: I order grits, bacon and eggs. The only thing I changed was the fact I wanted potatoes instead of a biscuit (their biscuits are huge). The food attendant mocked me. "Is that all?," She began. "You sure you don't want anything else?" "You might as well get a biscuit." The cashier also joined in the jeering. I could hear customers laughing from the dining area at my expense and all I did was order a regular breakfast with a small modification. It was embarrassing and humiliating. One customer was mortified and said nothing, another customer tried to make light of it by saying "Hey man, you can't help it: you come in here and the food smells so good--you want to sample everything." I do not recommend anyone going to David's Tiger Express. Unfortunately, the Mobil station this business is housed in is one of the few places in Central you can go to get gas, and David's Tiger Express is one of the few places in Central you can eat a traditional Southern Breakfast. For these reasons, it is difficult to completely avoid using their services all together. If will not recommend anyone going to a place where they will be made fun of, mocked, or jeered. If you want gas (and have the time to wait in the long lines Walmart occasionally has) I recommend getting gas at the Walmart across from the Mobil station. If you want breakfast and have time to spare I would recommend going to Taco Bell, McDonald's, or Sonic which all within a few hundred feet of them. Sometimes it will take a while for those places to serve you, but I doubt that anyone working over at those places would do such a thing to their customers. I never been to a business where the customer was being made fun of for ordering their regular menu. Even if I wanted more to supersize my order (which is not what I did), why would any establishment ever want to embarrass a customer for doing that? I do not recommend using their service for anything.

If you guys are going to answer your phone at 6:15, ask patrons to hold and ignore the call until 7:00 when the kitchen closes, then PLEASE adjust your working hours or correct the problem. This is the second time. Like your burgers, but Sonic right next door are just as good. Work on it guys!!!!

My wife and I went for our first time to David's. We waited by the cash register for about 15 minutes. There was a girl serving on the line right next to us. She served about 20 customers that came in after us as we were waiting for burgers and sandwiches. Not once did she ask if we needed help. After our 15 minute wait, we said enough and just left. Was our first and last trip to that place on 2/19/22.
