I noticed this shop had opened when I was visiting the Ace Hardware across the street and made a note (in my brain) to bring a visiting friend here the next week. And yep, she was in love! The shop is Gorgeous! with really beautiful details and attention to detail. Which is true of the garments as well. I've never been into corsetry because of my super short torso but the shop owner (I think) assured me that I would be able to find something that fit. They had a great selection of gloves and art work as well.Definitely a great spot to browse and buy yourself something special!

I absolutely love these humans! they are super fun, professional, open and inclusive. The quality of their work is unparalleled and the craftsmanship on their corsets is simply incredible. I have been blessed enough to wear several of their garments; the first time Marianne cinched me in, I was not sure how I would ever find my regular clothes attractive again. Each time I wear one of their designs, I feel like a walking piece of art.You guys are the best, love your work! Visit their store, you will not be disappointed.

This place is the real deal: a lingerie and corsetry boutique that gives the true luxe experience. The staff were SO kind and helpful--I was planning a body size change and they gave me great advice on sizing even though they knew I probably wasn't going to buy that day. They fitted me in five styles of corset, helped me take pictures, got all my data in the system, and sent me away with a $20 jewelry purchase and a smile! I'm definitely making a purchase when I'm next in the neighborhood--despite the seemingly high prices, these corsets are quality couture and definitely worth both the trip and the investment!

From San Francisco to New Orleans, Dark Garden is my go to shop for everything corsets/lingerie and a good 'ol time. The staff is not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable. I have an extremely short torso, and after nursing a baby for over a year, my boobs have since disappeared. This left me feeling as though I'd never be able to wear let alone fill out a corset the way it should be. The ladies at Dark Garden made me feel beautiful and helped me find the right corset for my needs. Dark Garden is great on so many levels. They make beautiful work that fits exactly as it should. They do it locally, paying local living wages to their local employees. They help everyone who wears their products feel beautiful and confident. I've been ordering their work for about 14 years from the store in San Francisco and I have a lovely collection. It is a woman-owned business since day one.Recently got a medical condition that put me in a wheelchair and for which abdominal support is very helpful (for my now too-weak-to-hold-me-upright muscles) and abdominal constriction is helpful (for accompanying blood pressure issue). My doctor prescribed a medical corset (usually a nasty, ugly uncomfortable thing), and Autumn was able to fill it. Dark Garden custom altered an existing under-bust to meet my medical needs and to better suit my usually-seated position, which is the kind of thing Dark garden has done for so many others before me.If something in an order ever isn't quite right (yet), they are always ready to make it better. Dark Garden is the epitome of classic craftsmanship and elegance. New Orleans is lucky to have Autumn's amazing business take it's place there.

I've long been a fan of Dark Gardens corsets, living in the Bay Area. I've worn their creations in performances but had never owned my own until I visited the new shop in New Orleans during Jazz Fest earlier this month.The shop is beautiful! And Annabelle was lovely as she helped fit me until I found The One--a black Risque underbust. She was even kind enough to give my beau a tutorial on how to lace me into it (and get me out of it).I hope to visit next year during our annual trip for Jazz Fest to see everyone and add another corset to my collection.

Love visiting Dark Garden for events and shopping trips. I always leave with a smile due to the great service and unique products. They are so helpful and knowledgeable about absolutely everything in the store! Whether you're looking to purchase items for everyday wear or a special event, this should be your first stop. I'm always impressed with the variety of clothing, jewelry, and one of a kind accessories - and of course the corsets. As a huge added bonus, they also regularly host events. They know how to throw a great party, too; there's always great music and local performances. If something is going down on Magazine, you can be sure they'll be participated and looking amazingly elegant in the process. With easy / free street parking, it's always easy to make a quick stop or make this the first stop on a Magazine shopping stroll. Also, I highly recommend joining their newsletter to find out about everything they do from virtual events, to in person events, and shopping specials. Overall, a great store that I'm so happy opened this location New Orleans.

I can't find enough words to praise the artistry and devotion that is put into every corset made by Dark Garden. The fabrics are sublime, and they are tough! I have worn them out into muddy historical reinactments, seances and weddings. I have never popped a gusset! Your figure will draw the eye and many admirers. I own 3, and can't wait to purchase more. The fittings are detailed and careful. Stunning. I work as an entertainer and also love vintage as well as goth fashion. Every penny is well spent. Delovely! Delightful

Go and visit the store yourselves; you won't be disappointed!===Why a Gentleman of Means would want to shop at Dark Garden...Firstly, the craftspeople of Dark Garden make exquisitely fitted garments for persons of all gender presentations. I have a custom-fit waist cincher that provides excellent shape and support to my rather ample frame. The price and delivery time were quite reasonable for a unique garment made to my specifications. Please note: "reasonable" does not translate as "cheap." If you are of a pecuniary bent, please think to take your custom elsewhere.Secondly, a gentleman properly attired in such a garment is more attractive to the prospective partners because it encourages better posture and carriage. You look taller, stronger and more upright. Empirical evidence has proven this theory to be fact.Thirdly, once you receive an inquiry as to the source of your garment, you may --in proper courtesy, of course-- invite your inquisitor to visit with you the Dark Garden emporium where they may be treated with respect and gentility by the friendly and professional staff in the creation of a custom-fitted garment of their own.
