We stumbled upon this cute 1950s themed diner on veterans Boulevard in Kenner. At 10:30 AM on a Saturday we did not have to wait. It was pretty crowded but they had a table open with some seats still at the dining bar. The restaurant looks like a roadside diner from Route 66 in it's heyday. I loved the vintage feel. The menu had breakfast and lunch items. I was craving pancakes so I had a stack. They were huge. My mom had the chicken and waffles. The menu says chicken tenders, but it looks like they gave her the whole chicken. She had to take half of it home. She loved it. Our waitress was very friendly. I will definitely check this place out for lunch.

Food portions: are NO JOKE. Recommend: Yes. Period. Job well done here.Highly recommend to ask ABOUT the sizes of their meals when ordering because just the fish and chips was enormous. Very speedy Waitressing and food was hot, delicious and delivered in under 10 minutes flat. Wonderful decor, patriotic flags from all branches hanging from the ceiling and yesteryear styled round 50's era bar seating near the kitchen. Food was great, no issues per se but don't recommend the 'Gator Bites' as they're more of a mashed 'hush-puppy' type of presentation. Otherwise, enjoyed this place, very minimal seating area, well lit with windows and positive atmosphere overall. Come grab a meal!!

Stopped in to the Daisy Duke's Diner with Chas after flying in from Newark one morning and was fixated on trying something new. I had been here before in the past and had tried just some eggs with grits, biscuits and gravy, etc...but today I wanted something else. I have always loved the décor in here, and the owner is always around talking to people and the staff is always friendly. For today's trip...I'm trying "The Diner Delight"! This is a chicken and waffles sandwich that also has bacon and egg on it and is served with country gravy. This sandwich was intense, and at times quite confusing. Some bites I really wanted that creamy country gravy, some bites I wanted to add some hot sauce, and others I wanted some maple syrup for that waffle. Ultimately I ended up mixing all three and dipping the sandwich right in there. If you need something that's going to put you right back in bed...this is the one for you. It's super heavy, but delicious. As always, Daisy Dukes - Didn't Suck!

Overall, I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone. There are a few misses during my visit, but nothing worth not coming back. My server was VERY sweet but she was distracted a bit throughout the visit. When she brought my food she noticed I had no silverware. She said she was going to grab it but then got distracted with other patrons she was chatting with and forgot. So I then had to get the attention of the other server for silverware. Her being so nice definitely made it okay in the end. There was also no tissue in the bathroom when I went to use it on my way out and had to ask someone in the next stall overheard. The bathroom was clean and smelled very nice though! The interior is as to be expected for a diner. I was greeted immediately upon coming in and waited a short time for a table to be cleaned. I ordered the chicken and waffles with the hot honey sauce. Those wings were amazing! Seasoned so well they did not need sauce. The sauce was just okay. I preferred the chicken with syrup and it was the perfect mix of sweet and salty. The waffle was SO SO good! At first I was nervous about the color but the taste was 10/10. It was crunchy on the edges and soft on the inside. I definitely think they could work on presentation based on their price point BUT that doesn't take away from the taste. With tip, I paid $24 for my meal. I most definitely plan on visiting again to try something on the lunch side of things!

Quick, Saturday lunch in a really cute, quiet, bustling diner. Very retro and comfy. Daisy S. was our server, and brought our coffee, OJ and soda before taking our order. (This is a plus.)Husband ordered Country Fried Steak w/mashed potatoes and green beans; I opted for a side of chili cheese fries with chopped onions and collard greens. Served quick and hot, and all condiments on the table, so no delay in waiting on sauces. Was a little surprised at the size of the chili cheese fries for $8.99, but they were good and it's hard to find chili cheese fries to my liking, so yes, I'd order them again anyway. Was amused to notice we could have ordered hard liquor with our meals in this diner - anyone for a margarita with their omelet? (Breakfast is served all day.)The only leftovers were some collards and green beans. Check was handled quickly, and we left commenting it was a good choice.

While visiting The New Orleans' "French Quarter", there were so many choices for authentic Cajun cuisine. Based on a fellow Yelper's outstanding recommendation for a breakfast, we chose the St Charles location for our lunchtime meal. As you know, I have to be completely honest! This was probably one of the worst choices we had made. Lisa ordered the shrimp po' boy and I went with the Jambalaya. The shrimp are breaded, deep fried and didn't have much a flavor. They place them in a piece of a hoagie roll with lettuce and the end cuts of a tomato (who does this?). She was given a plastic container of special sauce and two packets, mayonnaise and mustard. I think they forgot the sides. The Jambalaya was literally inedible as the entire dish was dry and burnt. I can say it had enough cumin to satisfy anyone's fill. Our service was excellent! The waitress was quite friendly, quiet, and very polite. The delivery was quick, but we were the only people in the restaurant at 1pm. She did not ask any questions or indicate any concerns when she returned to check on us, but immediately offered to take my meal off the check when she saw I didn't eat anything. The ambiance was average to mediocre with jazzy art paintings hung around the room but not much else. We decided to sit towards the front and eat by the window. Regrettably, the opening and closing of the front door allowed the city aromas to waft in, as the workers removed the trash and loaded in supplies. I'm sure this place may have had good and bad days. I just hope this was a bad day for them. Let's turn it up people! You need to do better.

Daisy Dukes is nice little diner off Veterans that has a no nonsense ALL DAY Breakfast / Brunch menu! This diner has that classic 1950's old school diner atmosphere along with being a great spot for breakfast or brunch. At this location It is always easy to find parking in their lot and getting a seat at the bar or a booth has never a problem. On my visits I usually enjoy the Country Fried Steak breakfast and my spouse dives into the Seafood Omelet or the French Toast Breakfast with eggs always sunny side up. We are usually able to quickly order and get our food within 10 to 15 minutes which it great compared to a few very busy breakfast establishments.
