Finally a salon in the neighborhood I love! They are a little on the costly side but I will keep going back because I know i will always end up with a great haircut!

Note: Cuttin' Loose is now located at 7927 Maple, just down the street.Glenda has been a staple of Maple for as long as I can remember and for much longer than that I am sure.Always warm and friendly, reasonably priced, and now in a swank, renovated shotgun single, your 'do will be done right!

Not worth the money. When I went in, all the other customers were children or men, so maybe women's haircuts aren't they're specialty. My hairdresser was very nice, and the store was clean and well-maintained, but the compliments end there. My haircut was WAY overpriced ($70 with tip) and it's probably the worst I've had. I asked for a reshaping with long layers, a simple cut that has served me well in the past, but my hair looks worse now than when I went it. I will not be going back.

Still searching for that perfect hair salon, Cuttin Loose was very nice. I was able to book 3 Saturday appointments in a row the night before for 2 friends and myself online with Trista. The appointments were true and she was able to get to work on us right away, after offering us a diet coke of course! I have natural blonde hair that's really long (past my shoulder blades). All I wanted was the dead ends cut off which totaled an inch or two. Shampooing was nice and she used a "water brush" and some special detangler to make getting the knots out a breeze: a first for me and my hair!!! The cut was good, quick, and professional. The price kind of knocked me over. Price quoted online is $45. My friends (w/shoulder length hair) were charged $50 and I was charged $60. It was a very nice salon, and I will likely go back, but $60 for a straight inch-off trim and shampooing is a little steep for me. This will be a once in a blue moon visit.

Kieu Vu is an amazing amazing amazing hair stylist. Seriously, I shiznits you not, I recommend her to all my family and friends. Whether it's for hair cuts, color, or beauty for extravagant events.. ask for Kieu.. you won't be disappointed! Yes............... Yes........ Yes...... her prices are a little on the high side, but very well worth it. Coloring price goes by the hour. The time, care, patience, && quality she has for her clients is top top notch #5Stars. She has magical rainbow unicorn hands, literally. Kieu is the best hair stylists I've ever had and I've been to too too TOO MANY hair stylists. She doesn't say/do any promises she can't keep and she keeps it real if your hair looks a hot HAWT mess, but worry not! She can fix you up with no hesitation. I've been going to Kieu for almost a year now. My experience every time has been great. She has such a great personality and takes her job seriously. BEAUTY Isn't a game folks! Literally.. For example, One session I sat for 6 hours to get my hair to platinum blonde and when she saw just a tiny spot she wasn't too fond of.. she did my hair over! Pass closing time! Cmon now... I'm sold as her client forever. Also, the ambience is so welcoming..Glenda is so bomb.com even though she's not my stylists, but she washes hair like a beast. HA!

Heard about Kieu through a friend who has been going to her for years. She's great! Listened to what I asked for and gave me exactly what I wanted. She was such a pleasure to chat with as well. I'd highly recommend her! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the haircut and blow dry was $72 (that's with tip included) but my hair is pretty long, not sure if that was factored into the price or not. Either way it was worth it.

I went here immediately after the quarantine lifted because I was a mess. They were extremely friendly and professional, carefully following all the guidelines. The cut I got was simple; I didn't go in for any color or want any real changes. I really just need to be cleaned up.The results were very precise. She raised my curls back up and thinned out my mass of hair so it's easier in the heat, and reshaped all the layers without removing length. She was extremely fast also. I don't think I've ever had anyone do that much clean up in only 20 minutes before.I will be back when all the lockdown phases are over.

Erica did a partial highlight my hair and although I didn't do a great job of articulating what I wanted it came out perfect. Erica is great with color and is very sweet. The vibe is great too- everyone is very laid back and friendly. It seems like all of the stylists at Cuttin Loose are talented.

I used to go to Cuttin Loose awhile back but it is a bit far from my neighborhood, The French Quarter, so I started going to the Ritz Carlton which also uses GOLDWELL PRODUCTS. The Ritz was okay , but when they said that they might charge extra for washing my hair after a single process hair color, I was done. Back at Cuttin Loose, the irresistable owner, Glenda was still there quietly doing rather amazing work. But the reason I am writing this review is Erica, Cleverly Glenda has found this extremely talented, serious minded young woman who is a fanatic of Goldwell, and a really talented hair cutter. Everyone at cutting loose is professional and capable but Erica would be a find in any salon in the country. She just has the "knack" sweet, modest and real. It is a pleasure to spend the time with her that it takes for her to her amazing work.Even though it is always a mad dash for me to make my way from the FQ to pigeon town. I will do it because of Erica specifically and the high standards set by Cuttin loose/Glenda in general.
