First night here, check in was easy. Front desk was super inviting. On our way out we were greeted by Nicholas (Nico) where he showed us to the lounge here in Crewne Plaza for some finger foods and drinks. It was nice to be able to sit down, regroup and tame the hunger before heading out. He is / was super friendly and gave some recommendations on spots to eat. This is our first time to New Orleans so I'm super thankful to have any and all recommendations. We will definitely be stopping by the lounge again before the end of our trip. The actual accommodations are okay. Nothing fancy, but the cost, the friendly staff and location being great makes up for the frills.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!Our trip was canceled due to flight issues. The hotel wouldn't cancel our reservation or reimburse even though we purchased travel insurance just for this type of scenario.

I booked this hotel through hotwire.com so it was not revealed to me until after purchase. The hotel isn't horrible, but could really use some renovations. It's very outdated. The AC unit in my room barely worked and made a very loud humming sound while running. The light above the entry to my room was also out. My toilet ran a few minutes after every flush. But I will say that the room was clean and conveniently located on Canal and Bourbon Street. However, the location comes with a lot of street noise throughout the night. If you came to New Orleans to party and just have a spot to lay your head for an affordable price, then this could work. But if you prefer something more upscale, then I would not recommend.

I stayed in a lot of hotels over my lifetime and this one is probably the worst from the paper carpet to the bedbugs. It was a miserable experience and then throw in the guy getting shot at the corner that night followed by just an overall bad hotel and experience I would highly recommend looking for something else though the building doesn't have hot water. It was lukewarm water so you couldn't really take a shower to wash the bugs off of you. Hotel wasn't very responsive to the bug situation. However they did move our rooms, but it was like it wasn't normal occurrence for them so I highly recommend staying away in this establishment and finding a motel six it might be cleaner.

Older clean hotel. All the staff we came in touch with were friendly. Only problem we tried to call the front desk and housekeeping and weren't able to get either to answer. So had to make the trek downstairs to the front desk and they handled are request. Great location.

The hotel is dated. The room was dusty and the carpeting had stains and needed to be cleaned. Another guest was checked into our room an hour after we were. We were relaxing and the door opened. We went back to the front desk and there wasn't an apology , the front desk clerk just told the other guest they will assign them another room. The lackadaisical attitude was appalling and I will not stay in another Crown Plaza Hotel.Beware and do not stay at this hotel!

OK. My last several visits to New Orleans I stayed at this hotel. It's at an epic location -- Canal & Bourbon. It is surrounded by food and is an easy walk from most things. Check-in and check-out are always an easy process and who can complain about room service and housekeeping when it's done right? This place has been great enough where I took my girlfriend and my best friend for his bachelor party before the pandemic. But on my most recent visit, there were a number of factors that played into bringing down the overall experience. 1) I was there for a bachelor party, and members specifically requested that we all share a floor. They initially agreed to this, but ultimately ended up putting us on 3 separate floors and did not rectify that, despite pointing it out :(. 2) Half the outlets in the rooms were either shorting out or nonfunctional. And some wall aesthetics looked outdated here and there.3) One night not long after midnight, the elevators were simply... not working. When checking in at the desk, we were informed that they had been reset (I forgot the reason), but the stairs were closed during our stay there. So we were stuck in the lobby, unable to get to our rooms for like 15+ minutes... and some folks were really tired. From my observation, time has passed and some things have declined in terms of quality of life and service since the pandemic. On the plus side, their gym and their pool are poppin'. And pro tip: the gym is a free source of water, so bring a reusable water bottle! On my next visit to NOLA, which I hope is sooner than later, I will most likely seek elsewhere to stay.

Very convenient location if you're looking to do things in the French quarter, the streetcar station is right in front of the hotel. We downloaded the Le Pass app paid $3/day to use the streetcar. They cleaned our room daily. Room has no windows so you might over sleep if you don't set alarm. Overall nice hotel.

I would say you get what you pay for but we paid $750/night...and our room was disgusting. As soon as we walked into the room after checking in we were hit with the stench of cigarette smoke. The furniture was beat up and one of the night stands had singe marks that looked as if someone had extinguished cigarettes directly on the surface. Only two of the pillows had actual pillow cases and they had makeup stains. The other two pillows were just worn out pillow protectors that wouldn't close. We attempted to make the front desk aware of the room deficiencies multiple times and the only response we received was "we'll look into it" or "we'll see if housekeeping has any other pillowcases." We never received any sort of follow-up. The final straw as when we woke up after the second night of our stay to find a gross tacky yellow substance between the blanket and top sheet of our blanket. Knowing that our previous reports had fallen upon deaf ears and having no interest in sleeping in that bed for a third night, we packed up our belongings and checked into the Le Meridian on Poydras St. When I told the front desk attendant we were checking out early they didn't bother to ask why or if the room was to our satisfaction, just okay here's your bill (faced down to avoid confrontation over the refund that they would not be issuing). It was clear they are aware of their quality deficiencies and get such reactions from customers all the time.

This was probably the worst hotel experience in my life. As someone who previously lived in New Orleans and has friends who've held management positions there, I know the extent to which this hotel has gone down in both quality and service. From obvious carpet stains that looked like dried vomit and watered down shower gel, to TWO non-working safes and an antiquated CD alarm clock that hasn't been manufactured since the early 2000s, my room was on par with the kind of place that rents rooms by the hour. Speaking of renting rooms by the hour, the long hairs I found between the sheets and half-stocked bathroom towels suggest that my room may have been occupied for a "brief stay" that housekeeping didn't feel warranted a cleaning and restocking. Of course, my repeated room service requests went unanswered. For the four nights I stayed there, no one changed my bed linens, which was only exacerbated by the fact that the pillows only had pillow protectors and no pillowcases and there were long hairs on the sheets. When I complained to the front desk, the night manager snapped at me and claimed that they only change bed linens on the third night of your stay. As someone with chronic allergies, I was constantly sneezing and eventually had to go to CVS across the street and pick up some allergy medicine. Unfortunately, I was unable to get another hotel room, so I wound up sleeping on my coat on top of the bedsheets. The only other time I have stayed in a hotel this bad was when I returned to New Orleans after Katrina to meet with my insurance adjuster and the only room I could get was in a motel near a truck stop outside of Jackson that rented rooms by the hour. In all fairness, the Crown Plaza only beats that place because it's in a better location.
