MUST and ask for Brian for your shuttle driver!We did 2 tours in one day and Brian made my day! He picked us up at our hotel. We had 2 additional stops to pick up 4 additional ppl. Comfortable ride, directions and pre-purchased tickets for us. The plantations tours were amazing. So much history that we felt so much more enriched by it all. I cannot believe I am on the land with so much pain, heartache, struggle but also know that there are victories as well. There's a stop for you to have lunch. We ordered the recommended and were not disappointed at all. A must is the drink - julep. So refreshing.

So I've been on a tour twice now with Crescent City tours, and both times I've had Brian as our driver. We're like family now haha.Listen, if you're looking for a combination tour, or a city tour I would highly recommend Crescent City tours. Pick up is easy.. as a matter of fact my hotel was not on their list, but Brian went out of his way to come get us at our hotel. He explains everything to all of his passengers regarding what to expect for the day. I did both plantation and airboat tour at the swamps. In between the tours he gives us a little time to grab something to eat at Oak Alley Plantation. He was also very punctual when it came to pick up times.Brian is very knowledgeable and even provides a lil history of the city on your way. I also love that they partner with Rajin Cajun swamp tours. It's a long day but so worth it.Next time I'm in town I plan on taking just their city tour. Thanks again for being such a great person host!

I have taken many tours in many different places but this tour and Brian's communication throughout the experience was phenomenal. We came to New Orleans knowing that the weather was going to be cold and during the enormous snow storm of 2025. We originally had the tour booked for the day after the snow storm. Shortly before arriving in New Orleans Brian from Crescent City tours called me warning me of the impending storm and the possibility of out tour being cancelled as no one else had booked the two plantation tour that we had. Brian made it easy to change the tour to accommodate the issue. Then when we arrived in New Orleans Brian called letting us know the plantations were going to be closed the day after the storm and got us on another tour the Monday before the storm hit, and thank goodness we did! The tours of Whitney and Oak Alley were a must see and so so beautiful!!Brian and Crescent city made the tour unforgettable! If you are in New Orleans I highly recommend taking a tour with Crescent City tours it will be an experience you will never forget!!

What an incredible day that will stick with me for a long long time. Brian was an informative, wonderful, funny, and considerate driver and tour guide for our trip to the Whitney Plantation. We had such a powerful experience that I can not begin to describe. From the time we were picked up at the door of our hotel (thank you so much for this) to the time we were dropped off, we felt cared for and attended to. We forgot something on the bus and he was kind enough to bring it back to us. Thank you thank you.Brian loves his job and the people whose life he touches. He is a gem. Thank you so much for helping us learn more about a painful but crucial part of the history of our country.This Once we got there, we found it was an audio tour with headphones. BTW, the audio tour was excellent. At Whitney, we saw that people had a personal guide from the Plantation and were a bit disappointed that we were unable to participate in this. I would have liked to have known this in advance

You'll want to take this tour rather than just hitching a ride to the plantations Brian was great and provided lots of information and laughs along the way. He shared some background on the city/area and even made a few stops for those who wanted pictures of things that weren't part of the tours. Great experience and in the end I'm glad that Greyline canceled it our tour that day!

I wish I had read the other reviews because it wasn't explained in the event description that it was going to be an audio self guided tour and not with a tour guide. But the audio ended up being okay but not as engaging and kind of hard to follow / hear.The bus was also full as they combined several tours together "to save on gas" as Brian said but this means there are lots of stops and that a 2 hour tour ends up taking all day. I also felt rushed to get through each section and didn't feel like I really had time to sit with history and what we were learning.ALL OF THIS WOULD HAPPY BEEN FINE HAD I NOT BEEN LEFT BEHIND!!! Please see my attached screenshot. We were supposed to be back at the bus for noon, and I knew that so I told one of the front desk employees that I was going to the bathroom and that I'd be right back. I come out less than 10 minutes later and the bus and my whole group has left. I check my phone and I have no missed calls only a text from Brian, the bus driver, saying that he'll come back for me at 12:45 but that he has to continue the tour! I can not describe the sheer panic I felt when realizing that a tour company had left me behind. I was over an hour outside the city and all alone as a single woman traveling. I've been on many guided tours and this has never happened to me before. In fact even that very morning Brian waited on several guests at their hotels delaying the whole group but when I was in the bathroom for less than 10 minutes he left me without a call. Brian continued on with the tour and went to other stops meaning I missed out on lunch and those stops. He did eventually come back for me, AFTER 1PM and after I had called the main office for the tour company to explain what had happened. Never again will I book with this company. They had no regard for my safety when leaving me behind and THEY DIDN'T EVEN CALL!?!?! This whole situation left me baffled and so scared.Again the plantation in itself is certainly worth the visit but not with this tour company!!

I wanted to do a combo tour with airboat and Whitney Plantation and this is the first company I found that offered that combination (most only offer Laura or Oak Alley). Brian was a nice guy. He kept himself cracked up most of the time and did provide some stories and information about the area. It was a pretty expensive day.

Cancelled our Two Plantation tour with less than 24 hours notice due to not enough people. Only option would have been to make it a private tour at double the price. Beyond ridiculous. Terrible way to run a business. They should be prepared to run it, no matter what. Save yourself time and book with another company.
