Pros: Quiet, Quaint and Convenient! Great Customer Service, roomy and lots of things to do in immediate area. I was really worried we were going to have to cancel My daughters 18th birthday trip because of the Hurricane but we were able to make it happen! Keith was an amazing host and called me as soon as he could (despite having been closed for repairs and having to have surgery on a broken ankle). We were even able to upgrade from the smaller bungalow we originally reserved to the Streetcar Suite! It is much bigger and more comfortable We got here early and Keith let us keep our stuff in the office lobby until our room was ready. He gave us info on places to go eat nearby. By the time we were done eating our room was ready.WiFi was still off a little because of power issues but they gave us the office Wi-Fi and we had no issues using our phone. Steve, who I assume is maintence, was working with his crew on hurricane repairs but offered to help with our luggage and stuff since we were on the 3rd floor. They are not your normal 13 step staircase. These are tall mansion staircases so pack light lol The B&B is close to a ton of restaurants, Walgreens, shops, taverns, coffee houses, and 1 block from Camp Street Bud line (11) or St. Charles Street trolley line (green 12). 2 blocks from Magazine Street where so many cute shops are. The Private courtyard and front porch are so quaint and great for sitting with friends and making memories. If you're worried about having more than 2 people in your party (we had 3 all weekend and 4 for one day) and the bathroom situation, there are 2 additional bathrooms for emergency purposes in the downstairs main hallway:))Private parking lot 2 houses down and they have all the buildings on the block or street parking as well. The street car suite is very roomy!!! Twin day bed, couch and queen memory foam platform bed. Love the clawfoot bathtub and roomy shower. We loved having a small rooftop sitting area and a private stairway down to the courtyard. PS they are pup friendly!Cons; no on site staff at night and needs some updating and replacement of appliances (but right now they are concentrating on hurricane repairs). We had a clogged toilet and o probably just should've gone to Walgreens but called Keith and he went and brought us one. I suggest having one in each bathroom moving forward. 1 of the 2 AC units in our room didn't work and only operated as a fan. But at night (in October) it was cool and we were ok. There are 3 ceiling fans as well. The sheet on the couch (used as a seat cover) was stained and dirty but they brought us a clean one. The daybed is wrought iron and the top bed, on the main feame, squeaks pretty bad. so if whoever is sleeping on it tosses and turns it's noisy. We simply used the trundle only and the couch instead to solve that problem.Overall if they just fixed the AC and used WD40 on the bed this is a great place to stay!

Excellent place to stay! Friendly, helpful staff and willing to accommodate. Quaint, clean rooms with private entry though the welcoming garden courtyard. Only 1 block from the St. Charles historic streetcar. Definitely will make be making future reservations at this location.

Cool little mom and pop place located away from the touristy places. Charming and quirky, some local live music in the courtyard area on weekends, great staff, one block from the trolleys, lots of eateries within walking distance. I'll be back.

Loved this place! Perfectly located close to parks, restaurants, and walking distance from the French quarter (although, I found more to see outside the French quarter). Had the cutest room with a pedestal bathtub. Lots of nice areas to sit outside in the evenings. Great breakfast in the morning. Service was excellent. I highly recommend!

I was in the middle of a Covid phase which is why it's taken me a long time to post. Very charming place to stay. Don't let the surrounding businesses or residences change your mind. The place is very secure. This was a mansion dating from the 1840's. Some of the rooms were slave quarters. Our room was very cozy with some enchanting fixtures. Walking around the grounds there are places to sit and admire the greenery and hangings. I was leery that there wouldn't be enough hot water for my daughter and I, but there was plenty. For breakfast there are pastries and coffee served in a nice size dining area, along with oatmeal, bagels and tea. I cannot say enough about the staff. They were friendly and accommodating.

We loved our 7-night stay at Creole Gardens. It was our first Bed and Breakfast experience and it unquestionably fulfilled our desire for local flavor and charm. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and is decorated inside and out for maximum appeal.Creighton checked us in on a Saturday and he was manning the desk again the following Saturday when we checked out. Everything went smooth and he gave us a brief tour of the property and amenities. The rooms are named. We stayed in Mansion 1. It's located up a flight of stairs at the front of the property in the main building. This room features a King Bed, a nice size private bathroom with a claw-foot tub and separate shower, and a private gallery. I couldn't stop smiling when we walked in and explored the space that would be ours to enjoy for the week. The bedding was good quality and comfortable, as were the towels in the bathroom. They provided boutique-quality containers of shampoo, conditioner and bath soap. There is a hair dryer mounted on the wall. We had brought a supply of water with us and the bedroom has a small wine cooler in the corner, which meant we had cold drinks available in-room, as we desired. (FYI, they have a few sundries such as champagne available at reception.)Breakfast was served each morning in the parlor. Monday thru Friday the hours are 7:30 - 9:30 and on the weekend they change to 8:30 - 10:30. Each day we helped ourselves to items set out. During our stay there were always bagels and bread for toasting, pieces of pastry, grits, granola, cut-up fruit and orange juice, water, tea and coffee. The hot breakfast changes daily. What is available is written on the chalk board and one of the lovely ladies working asks what you would like. Both Barbaras were amazing. Part of the great starts to our mornings was seeing their smiling faces and eating the excellent fare provided. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard to read. Listening to the fountain gurgle while we sat among the vibrant colors and lush plants was awesome. The space can be full of sun but it's designed in a way we always found a place in the shade. This property is dog friendly but the only place we saw or heard a dog was in the courtyard. One couple was getting back from a walk with their furry friend and another time we heard one give a couple barks after it must have heard a noise.Parking is complimentary and the lot is nice. Wi-Fi is included but we had some issues connecting our phones (laptop connected easier). We reverted to using our phone data plan part of our stay. The location is an easy, one-block walk to the St. Charles streetcar line and some great places to drink/eat. It's also not far from a Walgreen's to get drinks/snacks or public transit passes. There is an Office Depot that will sell you individual stamps for postcards, however they charge fifty cents per stamp, so I'd recommend remembering to bring postage with you.FINAL ASSESSMENT: Our room provided the perfect blend of local flavor and comfort. Service was professional and friendly. The breakfasts exceeded our expectations. We aren't typically early risers (especially on vacation) but we made a point to have breakfast each morning. It was that good. We couldn't imagine having a better experience. Highly Recommended.

This was a nice spot. Right around the corner from the trolley to Bourbon st. Check in was very easy. It looks like a hostel with a bunch of single rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The rooms are small but comfy. Ceiling fan and air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable as well. Parking safe and right around the corner. My only two cons: the have the smallest trash can it will fill up in one day but then don't want people putting stuff in the toilet? Come on spend a little on bigger trash cans. The second, when I was leaving on my last day I saw a dead cockroach in the bathroom. So I guess this place has roaches. So if your ok with all of this then have a good stay.

Hail Keith! Keith at Creole Gardens was a HUGE help as we navigated our stay in New Orleans during The Great Sneaux of January 2025. He was unceasingly kind and helpful, making sure we had blankets and space heaters and that we knew which local restaurants and bars would be open. We enjoyed our stay in the bordello! The location is great for walking through both the Quarter and Magazine/Garden District neighborhoods.

I come to New Orleans most years for French Quarter Festival and Jazz Fest, and always stay at Creole Gardens, an authentic guesthouse. The Big Easy is NOT a place I want to stay in a 'corporate' hotel. At CG, i'm in N'awlins from the moment I enter the gate. Rooms are all individualized and themed, the shady courtyard is dominated by a big banana tree that offers solace on hot days, the included hot eggs 'n grits breakfast (shrimp on Sundays) is both delicious and brings everyone into the dining room to make new friends. The fabled St. Charles streetcar is only a block away, to take you to the French Quarter or uptown, with its storied mansions. Rates are moderate, and it's pet-friendly to boot! Can't recommend it more highly.
