A true Creamery, they make the ice cream in the back! Good selection of flavors and toppings, coffees, sundaes, floats, anything cream adjacent you could want. The Creole Creamery. Home. I come here every time I come to New Orleans. My family would walk here all the time when I was growing up. I come back to see if my photo is still on the wall. Photo circa 2004, following a haircut I gave to myself. Upon reflection, the photo wall gives me the vibe of "These are the kids we don't know if they made it out of Katrina." Just put me on a milk carton, I guess. They have a great ice cream selection. My dad and I would always split a Sundae, I have fond memories of him always letting me have the cherry on top. The ice cream is still good, I got the Mexican Chocolate this time, my palate has evolved.

This was a local spot that served bizarre and unique ice cream flavors. They had traditional ones as well along with a few seasonal ones. The service was patient and accommodating as it took us some time to pick what we wanted.I went with two scoops of ice cream in a cup ($8.25?). I went with banana pudding and churro apple pie. The scoops were absolutely humongous. I was not sure if it was the server or just general custom to do that, but they were massive. The ice cream was very heavy and creamy. It was well apparent these were homemade just based on the texture and feel. The churro apple pie was definitely the preferred choice. The tiny pieces of crust and apple really made for a well put together ice cream flavor. The hint of cinnamon was nice too. The banana pudding was alright. I thought there could have been a tad more banana flavoring, but regardless, still tasty. I also tried the king cake, brown butter pecan, and a sample of pasta water. The king cake was alright, too orangey for my liking. The brown butter pecan was very delicate and extremely buttery and sweet, very tasty. The pasta water tasted exactly like pasta with butter. It was definitely something that had to be tasted and I was glad I did. Will I go back? Easily.

Excellent excellent excellent. Such a great ice cream stop! So many unique flavors; I wish I could have tried them all. Absolutely love that they have a flight (sampler) option so you can have more flavors. All of their seasonal flavors were super unique and tasted fantastic. Absolutely do yourself a favor and put this on your list of stops while in the area!My only complaint is that they have signs to not be a "sample hog," but there were too many interesting and amazing sounding flavors to NOT be one. Obviously not a big enough issue to not give this place 5 stars.

Amazing range of flavors and unique offerings. The line is usually long but the staff are friendly and quick. Very high quality ice cream and we love the handmade waffle cones!

First time trying Creole Creamery after a heated debate about best ice cream in Nola. The flavor offerings were extensive, creative, and decadent and they let you try as many as you want without hesitation; A+ here! The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful in explaining all the flavor profiles to me and helping me land on a decision. I ended up going with the seasonal king cake flavor after trying several. I loved the inclusions of king cake bits! The ice cream itself was really good, not the creamiest I've had, but still very good. I would like to try a chocolate-y flavor the next time I go back! The shop was fun and inviting and a great place to sit down and enjoy a late night treat. Very good experience, but the ice cream debate will live on!

I found this place on Yelp. I had a sweet tooth and decided to get some ice cream. I sampled some creole ice cream before making my decision. I ordered a banana split. Staff was very friendly. The establishment was very clean with school art work hung up on their walls. Very family friendly place with tables and chairs. A lot of different options on things to order. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in New Orleans.

We got the 4 "mini" scoop for $7.50 and it was soo worth it! The scoops are huge and plenty to share with a group. Some of our favorites were the lavender honey & petit fours. Cute little ice cream shop with some of the most unique flavors I've ever seen. They were very patient and polite with letting us try the flavors.

Creole Creamery is a fantastic ice cream shop with very rich ice cream. The Tchoupitoulas Challenge, 4 pounds of ice cream and toppings, is a beast of a challenge that creeps up on any challengers. They have a variety of flavors to pick from which are so rich and tasty. I enjoyed all of their ice cream that I had but I didn't really like their sorbet. This ice cream shop is a must try.

10/10 service It's always packed but they don't take long ! I love getting a sundae and you do not have to get the basic flavors you have the option to get any ice cream flavor.
