Place seems busy all the time we visit this location. Time went by fast and seated within 10 minutes. Great service great food and good prices. Not huge portions but by all means simple great tasting southern dishes. Love breakfast options. Will be back

I did a Google search as we were leaving Covington and the Crazy Pig came up. With a name like that, I just had to try it.We were greeted and seated quickly. We actually chose the bar bc there was a TV there and we couldn't see it where they were about to seat us.We tried the praline bacon. I think it was just okay. Tasted like bacon with honey. I didn't care for the texture bc I like my bacon crispy. I had the avocado toast and my husband had the seafood omelet. The toast was really good, the bread was thin, but it was very tasty and seasoned well.My husband thoroughly enjoyed his omelet amd it was very thick and filled with seafood. He ate half and took the other half home. The restaurant is a nice size, good amount of tables. It was clean also. The staff was okay...I'm neutral on that part because they weren't very welcoming, but they weren't rude either. It took a while to order bc we were expecting to be asked if we were ready to order, but was never asked, we had to get her attention. Drink order was taken quickly, but not the food.If you're looking for an experience, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a place to get good breakfast, stop by and enjoy.

This place deserves every high ranking they received. The menu of options makes you drool. They're super friendly and the wait staff is amazing. Gives you options and drinks stay full. Worth the drive from the city for sure. I tried the shrimp and grits. Maaaaaaaaan it was good. Perfectly seasoned. Perfect consistency to the grits. Plenty of shrimp. Came with a biscuit that was soft and delicious. Also got the praline bacon. Could have ordered more. This is what praline bacon is supposed to be. Truly lived up to the name. Even the sweet tea was real tasty. Inside was clean with plenty of tables. It did start to fill around 9am this Sunday morning. I got there at 830 and it was half full. Glad I beat the crowd but I see why there is one. Will be back

Wow! What a cute quaint place. Loved the atmosphere and vibe. The service was excellent. I had the Schnitzel. The chicken was battered and cooked to perfection. I opted for poached eggs. They were perfectly made. The gravy and biscuit were delectable. I will be back.

We checked out The Taste of Tammany menu at one of our favorite brunch spots on the NSFor the month of August @crazypigcovington and @crazypigmandeville for $15.99/pp you can have a House Salad with your choice of dressing and their delicious Shrimp and Crab Pasta. They also have a menu full of delicious Southern dishes! They have plenty of great options for lunch and brunch. One of our all time favs is the South House which is 2 pieces of grilled or fried chicken served with 2 of their sides, a biscuit, and Gravy..

It was a beautiful day to have some great food on the Northshore!! Crazy pig did not disappoint!! The service was great and I felt well heard especially at a table of 6 women. That seafood omelette was amazing! Jammed pack with seafood and the grits were to die for!! If I am ever on the Northshore I will be back.

FYI, this is a review for the location in Covington, not Mandeville. The address is 500 River Highland Blvd. and has been open since May, I believe, although it doesn't seem to have a presence on Yelp.Sorta off the beaten path and easy to miss, but features a nice venue with a laid back, extremely casual atmosphere, and a southern cafe persona. Open for brunch and lunch and although not open after 2:30 pm, there is a full bar featuring standard and specialty cocktails. You would think this would be well suited to an evening crowd. We visited on a Friday for lunch and a sizable crowd suggested an established following. Staff was welcoming and efficient and service was swift. The menu is somewhat eclectic, featuring takes on southern and pseudo- southern specialties along with appetizers, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. My wife had the chicken salad on croissant with a slaw side, and I had the broiled pork South House specialty with slaw and fried okra. Both were good, but the gravy with mine was somewhat of a gummy disappointment. Overall worthwhile though, so the brunch/lunch crowd would do well to check out the Crazy Pig.

Food:(1) Biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was incredible. Fluffy and soft but I have to say, the gravy was uber bland. I was hoping for all the Louisiana spices but instead it just tasted like rue. But, you cannot beat the price of $6!(2) Praline bacon. Super delicious. Sweet and savory and it's bacon, who's mad about that?(3) Sticky chicken. Fluffy biscuit. Nice fry on the chicken. Flavorful. Yummy cheesy grits. A star dish.Drinks: we got a mimosa, a Bloody Mary and a French 75. The champagne was noticeable cheap but at least the price overall matched the cheapness but I would have liked an option to pay more for nicer champagne (asked twice and they told me there wasn't any other champagne). The French 75 was flavorful but too much added sugar, in my opinion.Service:Mostly on top of it. There was a few times I need her and she wasn't anywhere to be found, but they were busy so I understand. We did a call ahead as well and that was helpful for when we got there!Ambience: typical lowkey Louisiana brunch spot

This place is so cute. The people are helpful, friendly and upbeat. The food was great. We had the skillet and omelette. So much meat, I couldn't finish my skillet but I tried my best. Mysteria was our bartender and she was very attentive and had wonderful suggestions. We came in from Slidell but we will be back. The Holiday Spirits menu looked great and we can't wait to tr
