The food and service is fabulous!!!! The venue is beautiful. It is the perfect venue for a wedding, party, or business meeting. Bill was very easy to work with even with my unusual requests. The quality and flavor of the food is wonderful.

I am from out of town and I recently attended an event here. The waiters were attentive and did their best despite being understaffed. I was disappointed with the quality and quantity of food because they ran out of food early in the evening and some of the dishes came out cold. Based on my experience, I can't say I would ever encourage anyone to book a special event here.

I give it 2 stars because the layout was nice... everything else was extremely disappointing! The bridal suite has zero amenities, didn't even have toilet paper in its bathroom and we had to hunt down the "attendant " to get us some. It did have a pitcher of old tap water but No bottle water or other drink of any kind offered in the suite. Now... the biggest problem... the bride and groom specifically requested and PAID for a Call bar and a Well bar was served! This was a huge problem and when we told the so called attendant she supposedly checked the contract and we even had to go hunt her down to ask if she looked it over at which point she said it stated Well bar. the bride and groom are extremely livid at this point as they work in the service industry and take pride in serving quality product to their guests! The food was blah. Extremely bland and the "pass around" food was 3" poy boys which were dry and way too big to be pass arounds. I honestly make better apps at home on a week night. The only thing that was good was the pecan chicken. That. Is. it. And although they PAID for food for 150 people and only 120 showed up, the venue sent them home with just a few boxes of food. Where was the rest of the food??? They should've had way more food left over. I mean, they made them pay for 150 after all the rsvps came back and it looked like only 125 would show. The Bride even asked if that extra $1,600 could be used for a ceremony there since it was so much over but nope. I understand the contract that was signed stated that there would be no refunds but if that the case AND they won't help these people out then where is all the left over food?? The Bride and Groom paid for it after all! Oh and the attendant... where to begin?! First off there was only 1...1 attendant taking care of the bride and groom, refilling food taking care of everything. They did have busers and people passing food around but there is supposed to be an attendant that specifically attends to the bride and groom, helping them with whatever. This was not the case at the Courtyard on the Ridge. The supposed attendant was not attending to the bride and groom practically at all. When the bride and groom were taking the cake pictures the photographer had to stop what she was doing to help them cut the cake because they were having trouble with it and there is no attendant to be found and when we found her she said "the photographer usually helps with that, not the attendant" !!!???? Are you freaking kidding me???? Also, the grooms cake was not put out until we requested that we have it out. Why wasn't the grooms cake out when the guests started arriving? that's the question the bride and groom had. It was a refrigerated product however it would not have gone bad in the short amount of time that we were there before we cut the cake. When we requested for the attendant to help them with the cake she said "oh we usually do that later" not "OK right on that" it was an argumentative conversation at best. Oh and did I mention they had only 1 bartender for 150 ppl?! The line was always long. There should never be a long line at a wedding bar. Period. Do yourself a favor and save your money. I would highly suggest going to the Rose Garden or some place else in the area as it's cheaper with better food and much more attention to the bride and groom. The night is about them anyway! They deserve the best that their hard earned money can buy!

Me and my wife had our rehearsal dinner there on Dec 18th of this past year. I sat down with Bill and told him what I was looking for and came up with a menu in no time. He asked me what my wife's favorite dessert was upon leaving the place. That night when we showed up everything was perfect. Our family raved about the food and how amazing it was. The staff was always present and made sure me and my wife always had a drink or if we needed anything they were right there with it. At the end of the night Mr. Bill surprised my wife with her favorite dessert as a bonus, white chocolate Bread Pudding. Courtyard is a Gem that is hidden from the city but if you want a great atmosphere, amazing food and a courteous staff then you should definitely check this place out!

I found the perfect hidden gem of NOLA for my wedding reception, and the best venue I have been to in New Orleans in every aspect- mostly the quality of food, and the special attention you receive. Perfect size facility and romantic atmosphere. I loved the outdoor courtyard with the running fountain for pictures and getting a few moments alone with my husband. The food was not only homemade, promptly replenished, and always hot (when item called for), I even had "surprise bonus" items not on our menu that were amazing!Bill works with you to create your personalized menu and decor for your color scheme, cake was taken care of all I had to do was gave him pictures of what I wanted! When it was time for our party to end, no one wanted to leave despite we had already extended our time. If you want to be the Center of Attention the whole night and the Talk of the Town after, Courtyard on the Ridge is a must for your wedding!

We had about three weeks to plan my sister's impromptu engagement party, and I think the owner could smell our desperation, because when we booked this, he offered us a "deal." However, that deal came with strings. The owner was impossible to get in touch with after the initial meeting, and we didn't get to actually scope out and see the venue until the week of, not to mention the menu that he promised us at the point of booking didn't come until three days before the party, and it was nothing that we asked for. I will say that he made the changes requested, and the food was pretty good, but despite us telling him that we only wanted simple party food, he decided to throw in fancy-ish gourmet fare that went largely uneaten. The staff was incredibly rude and had attitudes and frowns on their faces the whole night. The owner and what I assume was his second-in-command refused to play our music at first, because it was on an iPad. He did tell our coordinator she needed an iPod, but her's broke right before the party, and we were scrambling to get something done. I offered multiple solutions and even went to get MY OWN AUXILIARY cable just so we could have some music, instead of the depressed SPCA commercial music blaring through the speakers. These two people made excuse after excuse and finally offered to try it, taking our iPad into the back and prohibiting us from following. The music worked (shocker) but the owner then came and pulled me away from a conversation to tell me that he didn't approve of our music due to the vulgarity. Yes, there were children at our party - it was our family - and I understand his concern, but after reassuring him multiple times that it would not reflect badly on him, he still reprimanded ME, the paying customer, and went and turned our music so low that no one could hear it. He sat in the back and censored our music, only raising the volume for line dances. THE OWNER WOULD NOT ALLOW US ACCESS TO OUR IPAD TO EVEN CHANGE THE PLAYLIST BECAUSE HE DIDN'T APPROVE. This was our party, and no stipulations about music were made prior to this party. Later in the night, the staff rushed my sister through her pictures so that they could cut and serve the cake, just to get us out of there. My sister missed pictures with half of our family because the staff sat right behind her making comments, and they then had the NERVE to tell my mother that the guests could get their own forks because they hadn't thought to put them with the cake. This place was reprehensible and unprofessional. The owner made a point to pass up the KNOWN owner of the iPad, the girl with whom he'd been coordinating, just to present it to me with the flourish of "here you go, princess." He was condescending, insulting, rude, and the most unprofessional person I've ever run across. I've worked in this environment for quite some time, and this venue and the staff was deplorable. I've never in my life seen an OWNER act that way. I was insulted and offended by his treatment of my family and myself, and our guests definitely made comments throughout the night. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I suggest that anyone who considers this place take a DEEP and THOROUGH look at the contract and not make full payment until after the event has concluded. He ruined my sister's party and made my mother and sister cry, and if there were a way to get an owner fired, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I had my club christmas party there and it was great. I met with the owner and told him what i wanted and he made it work. all i had to do was show up. Everyone thought the party was great. The food was wonderful, with a never ending bar. He even supplied the music. The facility was very nice and the staff very pleasant. There was ample parking for everyone. I would definitely recommend the Courtyard on the Ridge to everyone.
