Diamond in the rough corner dive bar. Yep just as I said. Long well kept old bar counter the length of the bar. Plenty of seating along the windows for groups as well. A few picnic tables outside with umbrellas as well. Not for dinner place but lunch is offered of Jambalaya, red beans/rice, chili, Gumbo and Po Boys of all sorts. I've had the jambalaya, Gumbo and a steak Po Boy. All were good and reasonable. This is my second year fancying this place and probably about 15 times. So.. I think I can give an honest review. Food for a dive bar, gosh it's pretty darn good and fast if you have to get back to a conference which is only about 3 blocks away from the convention ceter.Drinks. Plenty of beer varieties and standard mixed. No frills. Very inexpensive compared to the rest of the city. Cheap really. It can get busy after conferences let out however, there is always a place opening up.Service is great. The bar tender is attentive and notices if there is a group and help them to a large booth and place a couple at the bar where there is a group hovering to help when able. Bar tender is attentive and proficient. He may slide you a beer down the bar so be ready. This is not a place for you if easily offended. I was offered a sippy cup when tipping my beer. Oops. It can be quite entertaining really. I noticed dogs in the evening not so much at lunch time probably due to food serving. The bartender had his dog in a few times. Very friendly and very well behaved. Everyone in the bar locals and travelers alike were friendly and respectful. Great place to watch games as well. Probably 5 or 6 TV's. They were always able to put a game on for us even though we were from WI. It was the play offs for the brewers! Well, we know how that went but we were able to enjoy it here with great company. The Corporation. A must stop if in the city. It's a nice neighborhood bar on the corner with plenty of good company. If you go, you'll be back away from the hustle! Cheers!

This was a classic dive bar. It is a great location from the convention center if you are trying to skip the long lines during a conference. Shrimp poboys with tater tarts was quite good. Jambalaya was tasty!!! Would come back again. Server was helpful and nice!

Came in for lunch while being in the area for a conference. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak poboy with fries. Fries were a bit too salty for my liking, but I really liked the poboy! The bread was great and worked well with the philly cheesesteak. Otherwise, service and the vibes were great! Games were playing on the TV and eventually the spot got more crowded. Overall nice spot for a quick meal!

I can't believe after years of frequenting this area, I didn't try it sooner. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu offerings and quality offered at Corporation. I decided to give it a try near the end of the Iris parade. I was immediately greeted upon entering and was told I was free to sit any place. I ordered the oyster po boy and gumbo. The oyster were fried just right and seasoned well. The gumbo was flavorful and had a variety of ingredients. Definitely A grade for gumbo made in a restaurant at a lower price point.

The gumbo was out of this world. So dark, rich and savory. Also has the shrimp po boy.

Labor Day Weekend 2023! This spot was across the street from our hotel. My friends found this place trying to grab breakfast one morning. Unassuming from the outside but a lot of love in the air on the inside. Everyone was courteous and accommodating. They had some of the best gumbo I had during my stay. I even ordered some to take home. I can't wait to visit again.

My favorite hole in the wall place whenever I visit New Orleans. Walking distance to the convention center so great to pop in for an afternoon pint and a po'boy (I still dream about the gator sausage po'boy). No frills, dive bar in every sense of the word. Bartenders are quick to ask if you need anything. Will always recommend when I know people are in town.

This local bar in the city is absolutely fantastic! I swung by this place for a late-night libation and some grub, but to my dismay, the kitchen had already closed. The bartender was absolutely amazing and crafted some good cocktails. Don't be dismayed by the hole-in-the wall feel, its a cool place to hang out.

March 2023What a time was had here . AJ (the chef) let me know that I'd missed the kitchen (closing daily around 5pm) however, there was plenty of crawfish being cooked outback. I made my way and checked out the Louisiana crawfish boil in action!Bartender(James) welcomed me with open arms with a shot of Jamison and a Miller highlife combo for 9 dollars.Although disappointed to have missed the infamous gumbo, the mix of convention attendees and locals was perfect and I felt right at home and comfortable getting to know new people last night.Service: 4Prices: 5Ambiance: 5Taste/Textures: N/AValue: 10/5 Bottom Line :This dive bar gives down home, feels and a welcoming environment to anyone. The owners were on site, active, and respectful. The icing on the cake was the playboy bunny that you'd only be lucky enough to meet and chat up. Thank you all . Local Glenn , Bartender James, and Chef AJ
