The Big Haul (says its feeds 4-5) easily fed our group of 7 with delicious crispy fish, shrimp, fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, and honey butter rolls. No complaints about any of the food, and the staff was all very polite and accommodating. Huge bonus points for the manager (guy with the big beard) who brought us out an order of beignet bites as we finished up our meal. They were nice and light, not too dense), and hit the spot for all of us... especially our kids! We'll be back!

After passing by this place a ton, I finally decided on a slightly hungover Friday to try it out and oh my did it not disappoint. I ordered on the app and picked up in the drive thru which seems peak lazy now but you know, I like convenience and I was hangry OK? The portion sizes were HUGE. I decided to order the shrimp platter, subbed a baked potato for the normal fries, added a fried green bean appetizer and their spicy ranch sauce - wow. I had food for 3 meals and/or one meal and my husband and I snacking on it for 2 days. The shrimp were fantastic and a nice size, the green bean fries were perfectly crispy, and the potato was HUGE and stuffed with delicious bacon, cheese and sour cream. The platter also comes with a roll and 2 hush puppies. Full disclosure this was right around $32 but well worth it in my opinion for fresh food that was VERY unexpected from a quick service drivethru restaurant. The only small note I would say is that the Arnold Palmer was very sweet, so just be aware if that's your go to!I will definitely be returning!

Corks is a local family-run seafood restaurant that fills a nice in mid-city. It's on Government Street just east of its junction with Foster. Locals will be glad to know it's associated with the local-favorite Cou-Yon's BBQ.The Corks approach is to specialize in Cajun fried fish and shrimp. This is served in all the familiar ways, in baskets, in po-boys, and in combinations. It's also served in some more interesting ways, like in giant stuffed potatoes, and with étouffée.Not feeling like seafood? They also have giant thin-fried pork chops. These are amazing and can be had the dishes that the seafood comes in.One can build your own dinner too! They have what is essentially an al-a-cart menu, so if you want a pork chop and one fish fillet, you can have just that.Surprisingly for a seafood-centric restaurant, Cork's has a range of desserts! The beignet bites are popular, these are like tiny beignets covered in powdered sugar. There's cheesecake, brownies, and my favorite the old fashioned banana pudding!

I've been here at least 4 times and each time the food quality is just as good as the first time. Everything is always HOT, fresh, and crispy. The beignets are really messy, but equally as good tasting. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The manger or owner stops by every single time we dine in and makes sure everyone's food came out nice and hot. He is very personable with everyone in the dining area. It's very pleasing to experience the energy and care that this place has.

Wow, just wow. I took my friends here with the mission to enjoy some fried fish on a nice Saturday night but Corks knocked this experience out of the park. First off the food was amazing. 10/10. And then the service was even better. The manager check ed on us a few time and we explained to him how much we enjoyed the food and we'll be back soon. As soon as I thought the top notch dining experience was over, the manager came with some fresh beignets on the house since we told him it was our first time. I can't believe how good Cork's was and my night was truly made because of this fine establishment

I wanted some seafood while in the area and stumbled across Cork's Cajun Fried Fish and Shrimp. When I arrived, it wasn't too busy, but began to pick up as I was leaving. The cashier was nice and helpful. She was new, but very willing to find the answers, if she didn't know them. I opted for the shrimp platter. It didn't take too long to come out and when it did, it was very hot and fresh. It was an okay portion; however, I thought they were a little skimpy with the fries. They do offer an assortment of condiments, but drinks are an additional cost. It was very clean with plenty of seating. They also have a drive-thru. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Cork's and would dine here again in the future.

Notes:1) been here once2) confusing entrance Pros:1) fast service 2) good food and good amountCons:1) ambiance reminds me of a drive through Stars: 4/5 So going to this location in Baton Rouge was a bit confusing, we had to turn into a parking lot of a gas station. The location itself reminded me of a drive-through, I think it was an old Taco Bell that was converted to this. The inside reminded me of a fast food place so a more casual feel. We stopped and ordered at the restaurant and brought it home to eat. The fish and chips and fries were fantastic. It was still crispy and delicious. The poboy was great and hit the spot. The etouffee smother pork chop was really really worth it. The price and everything was great and the etouffee was overflowing. The fried pork chop was more soggy but it was still really good. I definitely would recommend for a quick meal.

I had a couple of hours to burn before a meeting just after flying into BTR. I was looking for some comfort food, and a nice quiet place to complete some work. The owner had a very active presence in the dining room. He made sure I had all of the condiments that I needed upon serving my order to the table. My shrimp and grits really hit the spot, and it was excellent meal for a great price! More than anything Cork's just has that good ol' southern hospitality that many restaurants have seemed to forgotten about! I will definitely be back on my next visit to BR! Please and Thank You!

First time trying corks and I fell in love. I like catfish so catfish nuggets I knew I was going to love you get very nice sized nuggets that are thick, moist and flaky. I love that they give you a lemon. The corks sauce is amazing. I wasnt a big fan of the beignets they were good and hot. It just was a bit too much powered sugar for me. I will be back.
