Food was pricey, food was good. They wouldn't seat our party of 11 close to each other. Didn't want to split the check. They were going to split the total bill by the six at our table regardless of what we had. Highly overrated!

This restaurant offers a unique selection that may not appeal to everyone. I found the options somewhat limited, but I enjoyed trying a few appetizers the table ordered. The Fried Boudin was quite flavorful and enjoyable. However, I was disappointed with the fried alligator; it was dry and lacked flavor. The beet and citrus salad, which included mixed greens, spiced pecans, and goat cheese, had the freshest beets I've ever tasted. The macaroni and cheese casserole was decent, but the added spice was unexpected and not to my liking. Overall, this restaurant is a local favorite if you're staying in the French Quarter and have limited time. The servers were attentive and provided good service, and the atmosphere was corporate casual.

Elevated local food favorites in a relaxed atmosphere with attention to details in service and ambiance! This place is always packed but seating does not take long. Greeters were friendly! Food was unbelievable and we ordered way too much food but it's New Orleans! Why not!?! The stars for me were the Louisiana Cochon, which was served over a bed of collard greens with this special sauce. We also loved the fried chicken liver served with a sweet vinaigrette jam on toast. I look forward to trying the rabbit and dumplings on my next trip.

At first babe and i were a little skeptical about this place but our server Kris, made it soooo amazing and sooo spectacular.. she went above and beyond with us and the night just went soo well... the food was really good, from the collard greens, to the buttery savory bread, to the fried alligator, to the ribeye steak... just everything was amazing!!!!! The ambiance of the place was cute and elegant nothing took extreme but it was definitely a nice setting for sure.. we will have to come again for sure.. the drinks were fire as well, never disappointed.. All time FAVE in Nola an absolute MUST visit. First time back in years and I love that while they still have some of the classics, they continuously change up the menu to bring on new items. Our party of six was seated near the entrance where you walk in across a couple of bench tables. Since we had such a large group we basically tried everything on the menu.Standouts were the fried livers with pepper jelly and toast, the wood fired oysters with chili garlic butter, the brisket and Louisiana cochon and the collard greens - nice and vinegary...so good. And the Parker rolls - fluffy, warm and buttery. You won't be able to resist. Our servers were pleasant and had great recommendations. And then there was dessert. Nola hands down has the best desserts (IMO) in the states. The pineapple upside down cake, banana pudding and the strawberry ice cream of the day above and beyond. Even after eating so much - we were stuffed - but not weighted down like when you typically dine at other Nola restaurants. Love this place will always be one of my tops spots in Nola.

This place was amazing. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, great overall dining experience all the way.It is on the pricier side if you want to try a little bit of everything (which I highly recommend), but it is worth it. Our servers were very on top of things and checked in on us regularly, refilling our waters, bringing more bread (which was fresh baked and delicious), and taking care of us in general even though the place was really packed. We brought our toddler so it was a challenging task to keep him entertained and also enjoy the meal, but we made it work. Hubby ordered an old-fashioned which he enjoyed, and I got a mocktail which the bartender kindly created according to my preferences. It was pretty good, but half of it was consumed by my toddler.Kids meal was only $10 and came with fried catfish, a spicy coleslaw (too spicy for baby, good for us!), a pickle, and a Mac and cheese casserole. For the adults, we ordered the wood fired oysters, which were really delicious and juicy, and we had the cochon and the wood fired red fish. Both tasted great. The pork was the star of our meal. To end we had a peanut butter icebox which was yummy but definitely overpriced for what it was. Would come back for sure to try other items on the menu and have some regrets about not ordering a couple of the specials.

The food here is so good it could be a fine dining restaurant. Throw a white table cloth over the tables and jack up the prices. Voila. I am glad Cochon is comfortable yet classy though. Our server did provide fine dining service. He was great, extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The mac and cheese and cucumbers were so good we ordered another round. My shrimp stew was outstanding. My husband loved his rabbit and dumplings. We'll be back the next time we're in New Orleans.

This establishment was recommended by a friend. We didn't have reservations but were seated after a short 10 min wait. We started off with the wood fired oysters with chili garlic butter. These came highly recommended, but they weren't as flavorful as I wanted them to be. The star of the show was the Louisiana Cochon. It fell apart and was super flavorful! The meat was tender and the greens added a nice texture and addition to the plate.
