Clubhouse Bar & Grill

So, yes I found myself here at this questionable Belle Chasse bar, but I had a good excuse- it was David's birthday and he wanted to pop in and see if it had changed in the last 10 years since he had been here.Sadly, I must admit that it had been way less than 10 years since I had been here, but I went anyway. We were here on a Saturday night, after midnight, and the place was packed with Belle Chasse dude bros looking to shoot pool and party. The place is pretty dark, which is probably a good thing and they had a DJ mixing up all the hits from 2008.They don't have much of a quality beer selection, so I had a Corona and we found one of the few tables and sat down and people watched. The crowd is pretty young and I think David and I were a couple of the older patrons, but it was definitely an eclectic bunch of people. The majority of the people who party here are from just "down the road" in Belle Chasse, so it's not a destination type of hang out.I'm not sure where the "grill" part comes in: I'm pretty sure I didn't see any type of menu and I wouldn't eat here anyway. It's a good place to hang out if you want to see some good ol' Plaqy boys line dancing to "pre-Lemonade" Beyoncé.

What a great bar. Nice and clean on the inside with a big open space for dancing and 2 pool tables. While the only thing they serve for food is pizza all the time a few nights a week they have popups on the large covered patio ranging from boiled crawfish, steak night and even lasagna. Everyone is very friendly and the beautiful bartenders are quick to remember the little details like a lime in my highlife and my Jack served neat. Since this is my after work stop I dont know what the night life is like but I hear they thow down till the early morning.

Garbage. Need to learn to run a bar. Don't try to defend yourself against a regular here because you will be treated like crap and banned while the regular is still aloud in the place. They expect you to let someone else push you around inside and touch you while all the workers are to busy drinking to realize so you defend yourself and get treated like crap after. Hope the shit hole gets shut down for all the minors lol.
