8-18-24Awesome food and service!! I had the city cafe salad with grilled chicken with purple onions added. Krista was a very attentive polite & pleasant waitress! My second time here while out of town. I will be back! Atmosphere was very pleasant too! Not too loud.

This a a really cute little place that serves hamburgers, plate lunches, charbroiled oysters, and especially Po boys. Amazing service and food was delicious. As a born and bred Cajun, seafood is almost a requirement for existence. However, living in North Louisiana limits the availability of really good fried shrimp and oysters. Po boys there cannot be compared to south Louisiana's. City Cafe is a treat. The shrimp Po Boys are loaded with crispy, succulent fried shrimp and dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles just like I remember

Met my girlfriends for a Saturday lunch and it was great! We ordered a variety of things and everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the turkey burger (added avocado and bacon) and sweet potato fries. It was delicious! The burger was so well seasoned and juicy! It came in at $18 after taxes, so good value because honestly, I could have eaten half and been satisfied. Our waitress was so efficient and friendly

Been here what feels like a thousand times for book club dinners, moms' brunch, girls' nights, gym fam get togethers, etc. and somehow never finished a review! Great, local restaurant and bar for the south end of Baton Rouge. Always a pleasant experience. I've tried their delicious salads, poboys and sandwiches, specials on the menu including shrimp and grits, and have yet to find anything I don't love. They have a couple nice private room options for larger parties and a wonderful outdoor patio. Quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in BR.

The food was great and the service was good as well.The food had great flavor. They had quite a few options that made it hard to figure out what to try. We will have to go back and try some other things from the menu.Craft beers on tap.

Food was tastelesss I was with a group of women.. Two of them changed their oders of gumbo because they were too salty. My order was tiny and not as I expected

Came out here for lunch with a large group of family and friends. They were king enough to seat us in a separate room for privacy. Our server was Heather and she did an outstanding job servicing a group of 14 people. She took our orders timely and made sure we all received our orders as made. Also made sure if we didn't like something; she'd be happy to make a change. The food overall was great! We ordered a lot throughout but below are the highlights;Chargrilled oysters: 5/5Fried pickles 4/5Stuffed mushrooms 5/5Fried cheese 4/5Fried Eggplants 5/5Seafood gumbo was delish!Salads of all sorts were also good to start the meal!Seafood Bellevue 5/5Poboys we're good as well 4/5Overall food and service were great and would recommend this spot! Will be visiting again!

The food was great and service was as well. If you're getting the onion rings which I suggest order a half order unless you have several people with you. Clean place as well.

Charbroiled oysters are easily the Best in Town (or surrounding parishes even!). Love the ambiance of watching & eating in the bar area! Hi-top tables allow you to watch oysters broil !! Service is quick & pleasant!

We love to go to the city Café. All of the food that we have had there has been delicious. It's a very friendly place and always has a large crowd, but it is not too noisy to hear each other talk.
