Chris Specialty Foods

Everyone there is nice and friendly. It's a new location on Highland. There are ample coolers with premade dinners, a deli meat counter and a small restaurant with a chef inside. Easy in and out or you can sit and eat at the tables. Next door to Rue Beignet. I've been twice and will be back!

The new Chris speciality meats on highland is now serving lunch. This is a must go to eat. Service was nice and friendly. The owner or manager even threw us a free pepper jack boudin ball. Which might I say pushed me from being full to being in a food coma. They took the old Maxwells Market and give it a much needed facelift. Everything was nice bright and clean. The store offers all the great items you can get from any of the other stores but you can get a hot plate to go. I got the ribeye Po-boy and I will say it was on point. The only knock for me is that it was a little salty. And that's from a person that likes salt and spice. The bread was nice and soft with that nice crust you expect from a good Po-boy. Co worker had the fried crawfish which was on point. For me this is for sure a place I'm adding to my work week lunch line up.
