Walking into Chophouse feels like stepping into a scene from a classic steakhouse playbook--dark wood, low lighting, and a menu that practically growls at you to order big.Crab Bisque: This thing is so rich it should come with a financial advisor. Creamy, brimming with sweet crab, and velvety enough to make you forget your problems--until you realize you're licking the spoon in public.Caesar Salad: The romaine is crisp, the dressing is garlicky, and the croutons mean business. It's a classic Caesar, no unnecessary frills--just how Julius intended.Bone-In Ribeye: Absolute perfection. Charred to a deep, smoky crust, buttery and packed with flavor, this steak didn't just melt in my mouth--it dissolved my willpower to share.Seabass: For a place that specializes in beef, they sure know how to handle a fish. Light, flaky, and swimming in a decadent sauce, it's the kind of dish that makes you briefly consider abandoning steak. Briefly.Verdict? Chophouse is the kind of spot where diets go to die, and honestly, they die happy.

I come to Chophouse about 5-7 times a year. The food is always well seasoned (to me), the drinks are cool. I love pianos in the background. It's such a cute/small spot. I love that they've opened up the outside for outside seating. The service is ALLa great to me with great people. Thank you Rashad (although now I have to come checkout the spot across the street now, lol), Andrea , and James. Big Kudos to the bartender who worked 2/4/2025.

Great location, awesome little away from the madness, in an old building with great ambiance.Service is top notch as expected in a restaurant as nice as this.Appetizer seafood assortment was excellent and came with their thick-cut bacon. Delish.Filet was cooked perfectly and no sauce was needed. The way it should be.Would return.

Had a great dinner here on Valentine's Day! LoveMusic, tremendous food, and amazing service! One of the best steakhouses in New Orleans. It certainly lived up to his billing steak was second to none sides were tremendous that bacon appetizer amazing but huge, so be warned. We are gluten-free diners so certainly is tough for us sometimes, but the chophouse made it easy.

This place was really nice inside especially for a special occasion or fancy date night. The staff were very friendly and attended to us well. The drinks were good nothing special about them though. We got the ribeye, Delmonico steak, Caesar salad, and 1lb potato. My bf didn't like his ribeye as much but that was due to him choosing to cook it medium he said it was a little too chewy. He also got a seriously charred piece and that turned him off from eating the rest of the steak. Mine on the other hand was perfect I got medium-well.

Amazing food, it was so delicious will defiantly come back here!! The service was amazing when eating we did have a reservation but still had a decent wait which was disappointing because it was a birthday dinner but we completely forgot about that after sitting down. The location was so beautiful it was kinda loud but the dark candle lit vibe and brick walls just made me forget about everything and enjoy are date!!

While the Service was a 10 out of 10 and the Ambiance was also 10 out of 10 I found it to be a bit crowded. I ordered the Rib Eye Delmonico style and I found it to be just ok. There were 5 of us celebrating my Mom's Birthday and I was fortunate to be in New Orleans on business. We all had various cuts except for one person who had the Redish Almandine. Out of everyone's experience it's safe to say that she enjoyed hers the most. Personally I thought my Steak was tough even though it was cool d to a perfect Medium. My Brother in Law had the Bone in Filet and said the same thing about his. He immediately made comparisons to the most popular Steak House in the city, RC. Our conversation seemed to spark an interesting Debate amongst our top three Steak Houses. It varied with some of my favorites not being in anyone's top 3 but in their top five. All in all it was a pleasant time with Family, so there's that. I may go back again if my Mom wants to go but for me in New Orleans it's Fleming's / City Grill hands down. I'm sure it's just my preference, but by all means give them a try. Y'allhollaatchaboy!

One of the best dining experiences I have had in New Orleans. Unfortunately I was too busy enjoying my meal to take any quality photos of my food. However, everything from the ambiance, to the service, to the wine was impeccable. We got the crab as an appetizer and a wedge salad. I wanted to lick the plate for the salad, it was delicious and the crab was so fresh. We each got a steak and shared the onion rings and fries. Definitely listen to your server with suggestions for temp, because I didn't and had to get them to cook it a little longer. However, they had no problem doing so and both of our steaks were still so good. My boyfriend said it's the best steak he has had in New Orleans. We will be back!

I went to Chophouse for Valentine's Day and our experience was superb ! From the appetizer to the dessert, we enjoyed every bite. The food was seasoned well and we had surprise chocolate covered strawberries to end our night. The live music was loud, and it was hard to hear each other talk over our table , but I would strongly recommend. Our server was slightly overwhelmed, but understandably because of Valentine's Day. The shrimp appetizer was our absolute favorite! We would definitely come again

We made sure to make reservations before heading over using Open table. We were seated at the bar area as requested, also close to the evening entertainment. A gentleman playing piano and singing some jazzy tunes. The waitress was friendly and informative about the menu. She gave us time to decide without being pressured. The food...The potato was good but as soon as you get past the thin layer of sour cream it gets pretty dry.The he Spinach with olive oil and garlic was fine. Nothing to write home about. The steaks, both were cooked exactly as asked. The unfortunate part was sooooo salty. Our mouths hurt after a few bites. If they cut back on the salt it would be much better. You can get better steaks at a better price all over. Go try someplace else first.
