We love this place!! I always get the General Tao's and it's always been amazing!! Very fast and friendly..

Oh wow! This place is truly a hidden gem. The day I found this place on Yelp, it was a holiday and they were closed. They're actually closed on Sunday's and most US holiday's. So, when I was back in the area, we stopped again and had a chance to try their food and it was worth coming back to. I was only in the mood for soup that particular day and their wonton soup did it for me. It is excellent, flavorful and I highly recommend it. In fact, much of the food I smelled cooking back there was reminiscent of a good ole fashioned authentic Chinese restaurant. The dining area was closed off and there's a small spot near the front door to grab your food. I can tell their ingredients are not the same as many storefront take out joints and that's worth knowing. Just imagine, the pics we take on Yelp actually drives business, but it's a terrible thing when your mouth is salivating for a particular food and you can't have it lol.

Awesome little hole in the wall. With great food. And cheap. Also get a lot for your money

Orders are always on point. It's probably one of the better Chinese restaurants we have here in Slidell. Service is fast and your food is ready at the time that they tell you teams that I would be 15 minutes but it's usually ready lol.

My husband and I are retired Army officers and we have lived and worked all over the world. We have been in Slidell visiting for a month and decided to try Chinese House for dinner based on the Yelp rating. I cannot express how horrible and tasteless this food was. We ordered the General Tso's chicken and an order of combination fried rice. The chicken breading was soggy and flaccid and the chicken inside was hard and dry. The rice was utterly tasteless and had this weird aftertaste to it. It was so bad that I spit it out into a napkin. I don't know where these people learned to cook, but what I ate was definitely NOT Chinese. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This food went straight into the garbage.

Ordered lunch today, had the boneless fried chicken and vegetables. It was a textbook example of the dish. Additionally the egg rolls were excellent. Very pleasant interaction on the phone and when picking up the order.

Horrible all around horrible.Would not recommend. No flavor in the food. She also up charge you when arrive for pick up. My online order fee total was totally different when went inside to pay online order fee. Sad hustle..

I was surprised by the low quality of the Hot & Sour Soup. I'm trying to sample certain things on the menu. I mean it usually Chinese House has a higher level of cooking. Not this time. The Hot & Sour Soup was not worth the $7.00 that I paid.

I did always give 5 star, not anymore wontons now heavy and greasy, egg rolls so so. Combos good no issues. Store hours /and vacation times are 3-4 weeks closed in summer, all for there convenience not about customers. I found much better Taste of China Rocks! Slidell La.

Best little take out chinese restaurant I've tried. Portions are large enough to share and their hot and sour soup delicious. Be sure and get the egg rolls and dumplings. And try the lo mein. I appreciate that they stayed open during COVID and gave wonderful service.
