I ordered the Kung Pao chicken (extra spicy) with pork fried rice (2 extra eggs). So let's start with the failed order. My chicken had absolutely no spice to it and although I was charged for two additional eggs, my rice had scrambled bits here and there. I'm sure it wasn't two eggs. To add to it all there was a piece of metal in my food (shown in picture). Needless to say I threw the entire container of food away.I'd like to touch on the poor customer service next. The lady at the counter spoke with food in her mouth the entire time. She took the customers order ahead of me first and then proceeded to chew and talk to me. She never responded with a you're welcome when I said thank you nor did she say thank you for my order.Lastly, there was an extremely loud stale odor in the restaurant and there were gnats by the self serve soda machine. I ended up throwing away my cup and prayed over my food as I left out.If I were looking for a basic flavored dish that missed the mark with flavor, didn't include the ingredients I paid extra for yet added an ingredient I didn't ask for (metal piece), lacked in professionalism and cleanliness then I'd definitely visit this spot again.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

We had the teriyaki chicken dinner combo and the sesame chicken dinner combo. The dinner combos are served with an entree, egg roll, pork fried rice, and a beverage. It was a lot of food for the price, but we threw most of it away. The egg rolls were fine. The egg rolls were the only food that was served to us warm. The teriyaki chicken was ok but it was a bit dry. The sesame chicken tasted off. I'm not sure whether the chicken was bad or whether it was something else. Odd taste and aftertaste. Later, we both felt a little nauseous. Also, note that they add a service charge (I believe it was because we used a credit card to pay). There may have been a sign up about the service charge. Just want to make sure people are aware.

Note: even though the overall review score is high. Most reviews are not current. Even the most recent 5 star seems suspicious. As they only have 3 reviews of Baton Rouge Chinese restaurants in their whole history but yet they are from California. My wife left a review already on the experience. I wanted to elaborate from my perspective. We both had the dinner combination. The cleanliness of the place was questionable. The food arrived fairly quickly. The egg rolls were hot and acceptable. The teriyaki chicken and sesame chicken both tasted off. Both of the chicken dishes tasted as if it was not fresh or tainted. Maybe it was recycled as another reviewer mentioned. The pork fried rice that came on the side was cold, bland and also tasted off. The soda machine had a almost moldy taste on the tea and Diet Coke. My guess is they haven't changed the water filters in a while. I really didn't feel any of my complaints would have been taken seriously. There was a service charge on the receipt, my guess was due to me using a credit card. There was no signage that I saw or mention of the charge. Panda Express is easily a better product and choice. Which is sad to say. I prefer to go to the mom and pop places, but this one is in the never again list. We both felt sick afterward. I couldn't finish hardly any of the food. I usually take my leftovers if any exist. I tossed 75 percent of it happily.

I have been coming here, off and on, for a number of years now. And I'm pretty sure that 90% of the time I get the same thing - Singapore Rice Noodles. Oh my goodness. They stole my heart with this dish the first time I tried it. I've only ever ever tried other things in a vain attempt to prove I'm not addicted. But it's all a show. I walk in, smell the smells, see the picture on the wall. I'm a goner. Addicted. This is noodle perfection. Noodle Nirvana. Don't say I didn't warn you....

My family ordered multiple dishes to try, based on the good reviews: pupu platter, Mandarin chicken, sha cha beef, bourbon chicken, and Singapore Mei fun. Sadly, not one of them impressed me; they all were pretty meh. My wife is a Mandarin chicken fiend and she stopped eating their version after one bite. One positive about it is that they give you a lot of food.

DO NOT ORDER! TERRIBLE. The Mu Shu Pork was sent without the plum sauce or pancakes. The Kung Pao shrimp was terrible, with the vegetables uncooked. When I called, I was told I could drive to get the pancakes. Never again!

Sesame Chicken & broccoli. Food was fresh. They included extra sauce w/o having to ask. Person at register could be more friendly. Been here a few times already. Have yet to be dissapointed. . .

Yesterday (11/5/22) we decided to stop here to pick up some food. I didn't check the order before driving away. When we opened the bag we found a greasy bag of what looked liked leftover or re-fried soggy wings, a container of barely cooked fried rice with pale pieces of tough steak & broccoli, no sauce, all cold. We threw it away.I was shocked, as I used to buy food there a couple of years ago and it was always good. The family/owners are the same and the place had only one customer before me.We didn't go back for a refund but we should have! Next time I'll drive to the one we like on Nicholson. Didn't go yesterday because of the traffic.
