China One Chinese Restaurant

This restaurant is not nearby for me-- I have to drive at least 20 minutes without traffic. There is no buffet, and the lobby area is not exactly a place where you would want to dine in with friends or family because there is no other entertainment such as a working tv, the tables, chairs, and floor needs to be cleaned, and some scrubbing and painting needs to be done overall. That said, the food is made to order and is hot and packaged well. The prices are decent. This is one of the only places where I can do some customization such as add spice or more or less of a type of veggie. I like that their receipt is a little more detail than all the other to-go Chinese restaurants. I wish they had a sauce and utensil station, though-- there is no soy sauce, spicy mustard, or duck sauce! Would I go back? Yes. How often? Once every other month, perhaps. What am I getting? Shanghai rolls and Mai Fun.

I think I just would've wanted more of a selection of food. They don't have a lot of options, and I didn't think the options were all the impressive. It's a buffet, there should be more options. Now, I was craving THIS type of Chinese buffet food because it reminded me of the buffet close to my college, and I was missing college life. So I'd say their food was better for my soul than how it actually tasted. I would go here again if I was in the neighborhood and missed that college Chinese buffet feel. The servers and service, however, are 5/5, the people working here are such sweethearts and made me feel special. I'd say it's up to you if you want to see what they have. I think the experience is probably not for everyone, but it could be if you're in the mood for it.

I really enjoyed my lunch special from here. I got the salt and pepper shrimp with the shrimp fried rice. The food was awesome! The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was full of customers waiting on their order, but everyone was in good spirits, and the kitchen was cranking the orders out. My only complaint was the portion size. I've never had Chinese takeout I could eat in one setting until I had China 1. So, while it was good, it was a little light for the price. Overall, I'll give them another shot, but I was disappointed by the portion because it was so good!!!

It's always nice to come after class and eat some divine food. Good service, and a pretty quick wait time.

For quick, not expensive and good Chinese food, this is the place to go. The staff is always friendly. Several times we asked for recommendations and what they suggested did not disappoint!

The food is delish! The waitress / counter person was nice but definitely unschooled in her knowledge of the menu. I asked about the pancakes that came with the moo shu shrimp. She tried to tell me there were no pancakes until I pointed it out to her. She checked and I was right (duh!) so 10 minutes later I'm driving with my food back to my store (currently they are only doing to-go). I get back to the store and I open my food and it's wonderful. The pancakes are perfect. The food is delish and huge. I was stuffed. The fried veggies with the shrimp, the hoisin sauce in a to-go cup and the pancakes were all perfect. I just wish I could have eaten there. I hate the to-go thing. Oh well, The food was perfect which is why I'm still giving it 5 stars.

China One is an easy to like American-Chinese Restaurant located just off Government Street at the end of a strip mall. To get there just turn onto Community College Drive and go to the last right exit into the shopping center.They have an extensive menu which is the same as many other American-Chinese restaurants in our area. It includes all your familiar favorites, as well as many things you should try out. The prices are really reasonable, and the portions are generous, and who doesn't like that combination? Speaking of combinations, that's one of my favorite sections of the menu. These include fried rice and an egg-roll in addition to the entree.Other menu favorites are the soups (which you can get as a quart), and the noodles. The Mei Fun noodle dishes are great with their tiny tasty noodles, try the Singapore Mei Fun for a curry and shrimp based delight. The Lo Meins have a thicker heartier noodle in a dark sauce.Due to the recent pandemic, China One has converted to a take-out only service. This works well, as few people actually used their small dining area anyway. My advice is to call in to make your order, and then start driving over there. Pretty much everything you order will be ready in ten min. You can then take your meal home, back to work, or alternatively drive the few blocks to the nearby BREC Goodwood Park and eat at one of their nice picnic tables.

Honestly, this restaurant is a hidden GEM!!! They give you SOOO much food, and the price is really great. It's always enough for two, and I like to eat a lot. They are fast. You don't even need to call ahead. You can just go in, and they will have your order ready quickly. The man at the counter is always so kind. Everyone in the kitchen works very hard. The food is great, and I am going here from now on. 5 star restaurant.P.S. To clarify, this is the restaurant in Baton Rouge, LA near BRCC. Not sure why my profile says I am in CA.

They always have the best hot and sour soup, crab wontons, and the honey chicken is always a win.

I was charged for extra shrimp and didn't get them. when I asked the person on the phone was very unprofessional and disrespectful
