Called in a order here, when I arrived they told me that had never received my order. The lady proceeded to say I only called with inquiries.I placed an order over the phone & she gave me my total, $18. When I arrived I was told that they never received my order and that my new total was $30. Never again. My family and I have been eating here for years.

Very good Chinese food! Clean restaurant. Quick service. Order at the counter or online. Pepper steak combo and shrimp lo mein are both very good. Lo mein has a smoky flavor to it. Fried rice in the pepper steak combo is delicious.

The food here is impeccable. I have not had better Chinese food in years. I would recommend this place hands down anytime someone asked for a good spot in Baton Rouge. Service here is the the only thing better than the food. They treat people with respect and are extremely friendly. They are fast and food is always quality.

It's not a buffet but a 'take a Togo box and fill it with what you want' lunch special. The food was tasty and the place was hoppin for lunch. I'd recommend nabbing the Mongolian beef, bourbon chicken, spicy shrimp and mushroom chicken. 5.25 is the box special from 10:30am-3:30 pm.

I was very pleased with my first visit to China One. After reading the reviews on Yelp & hearing good reviews from friends, I decided to give China One a try while running errands today. The gentleman who took my order was very helpful, friendly & efficient.I ordered the Sesame Chicken lunch special, which came with chicken fried rice for $4.50. I added a drink for a dollar more & left with enough food for 2-3 meals for $6.The sesame chicken was delicious. The fried rice was different than any I ever remember eating. The rice tasted as though it had been cooked with chicken broth. It was very good, tending toward bland, but still good & very different from typical fried rice.THE VERDICT- I will definitely be going back for take-out & hope to try their sushi. Fast & friendly service with large portions of tasty, affordable food. Win-win!

Wednesday night I went to pick up takeout. I ordered General Tsu chicken and a shrimp plate. The sauce on my general tsu chicken was disgusting and old. The wontons and egg roll tasted expired also. I almost threw up after a few bits . I would have returned the food, but it was late and the last time I made a suggestion for fresh food at this location, I was told in a very defensive way, ALL OF OUR FOOD IS FRESH! Food went into the trash.

I really did not want to write this review. However, the food was not on par with the 4 star reputation. I had a pickup order. I ordered the house special soup and the broth completely flavorless and watery. The vegetables and meat had very little flavor/ seasoning, like all the ingredients were cooked in just water. I appreciate that it was low sodium but it could use more "umph". The bell peppers and corn was undercooked in the soup. I'm going to have to add bouillon to it so I can eat it.I ordered blackened chicken for my fiancé, except he got chicken and broccoli instead. It was very pricy for what we ordered... I think if this restaurant works on the flavor of their food, I would give it a second chance. For now I will stick to Hong Kong Chef.

Absolute favorite Chinese take out in Baton Rouge. Food has always been fresh and delicious. It's also inexpensive. I really wish it were closer to where I lived.
