Recommended by a co-worker; just around the corner for me and totally unnoticed in its small strip mall location. This started out as a 4-star review, but after finishing it, I realized I did not have a single drawback to mention about this visit, so here goes...Called out for 2 roasted pork eggrolls, wonton soup, crab rangoons (5), and beef mai fun. $29 with tax w/o tip, and ready within 5 min of the promised time for pick up. Loved that sauces & plasticware were on the side; hate to waste what I won't use.Eggrolls were tasty and properly cooked all the way through. Rangoons tasted homemade, were large and came with ample sweet & sour sauce. Wonton soup came with crispy strips, and there were plenty of wontons for the amount of broth. VERY yummy.Beef mai fun was just what I was craving. Lots of tender beef, not tons of veggies. (Okay, maybe a few more veggies would have been nice.) Reheated easily since there was no way I could finish any of what I ordered in one sitting. I made 3 meals out of it.Service was very nice and friendly. Order was well packaged and easy to unpack and repack. Cardboard was even used to make sure my mai fun container wasn't crushed. Was craving Chinese food, a good Chinese without having to do a sit-down meal. What a gem! Can't wait to order again.

For cheap Chinese food this place is great. It's not as good as some of the more expensive places but it's way cheaper.

Good always comes hot. I got a hot and spicy chicken, the quart. The service is great, fast and everything is cooked by demand.

Really delicious. Only downside is how difficult it is to get to from the option size of the road. But delicious and taste different than other placesUpdate: the customer service lacks. They are a bit cold and never smile. It's like get your food and get out. And this was before covid

This little place has some excellent food!! I would never have tHought to try it but I work nearby and a co worker suggested it. The lo mein is delicious, as is the General tso chicken. The crab Rangoon are excellent as well. The only thing I have not loved is the rice. The prices are great. Definitely worth a try!

Staff sucks, they a rude and very unpleasant. Ordered sweet and sour chicken they gave me raw chicken, refused to get me new food or a refund and then tried to justify why the meats so pink and says they use "pink flour". Yeahhh okayyy.

The boyfriend and I have gotten takeout from the China King many times since moving into our house in Marrero. Yeah, it's the typical quick serve Chinese menu that you find at every other Chinese takeout place.However, the employees do seem to enjoy what they are doing. It also never takes longer than 10 minutes to prepare an order, no matter how much food you order. The latest trip, a few days ago, involved me ordering a ton of family-style dishes and a combo meal. Everything was perfect. It's also really cheap considering how much food they give you. We had leftovers for days.Chopsticks available upon request. Fortune Cookies are given out with the food. Condiments are placed on the counter a couple of feet from the cash register.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant! I'm picky with my crab rangoons and they are THE BEST. Every time I order they are very nice and fast!

Tried this spot because It's near my house and I was feeling adventurous. Honestly I didn't expect much after reading the reviews but I did get the Crab Rangoons since the reviews all said they were the best. I also ordered Kung Pao Shrimp with Fried Rice and Chicken Wings. The wings were good, may consider another visit just for the wings. The Crab Rangoon tasted like they were full of cream cheese and not crab, so safe to say I didn't enjoy them. The Kung Pao was all celery, baby corn and green peppers in this thick brown sauce (just not what I'm used to) but it did come with an egg role. As for the Shrimp Fried rice, it was missing a lot of ingredients normally found in most rices. It was literally just shrimp and rice, so if you're into that you'll be pleased. Not gonna say I won't ever be back because the price was great. I got all that stuff for $20, but I'll be sticking to fried wings, maybe the fried rice and I may try the shrimp toast next time. It gets two stars because you've got to be careful and you might find something you like, and the price reflects that...Lol !!! Happy Eating!!!!

China King has consistently been our go to place for great food. One of the pluses is that they get the order correct. After about ten or more visits it's clear that they know every element of their cuisine. Prices are reasonable and you aren't going to do much better anywhere on the WB for Chinese.
