I usually order delivery here and the tacos get me right every time! And that orange sauce is a MUST on every taco! And the beans! I haven't had anything bad here so far. They're inexpensive and delicious!

This is one my top mexican restaurants in the area! I loved this little hole in teh wall. We came here because we were on our to drop off people at the airport in Kenner and I had read some good things about it from Ian McNulty. Anyway, it was around that in between lunch and dinner time and it wasn't too busy. It started to get busy quickly though the closert to dinner it got so be aware of that, this place is small. This place is also very loud. I noticed the speaker was right above us and the more the girls behind the bar did shots, the louder the music went. It made for a fun atmosphere so just be aware of that when you go too. We had the best, freshest guacamole. I don't know what made it so good, but it was good. I could have ordered 3 of those. The chips were just ok. The salsa was decent, but not the best. I ordered the molcajetes and those are always so delious. My hubby ordered the chimichunga which is the best in the city. It was plenty of food and so very good. I can't wait to go back!

Was around 11pm nothing is really open at that time but we found CHILANGOS!!! What a cool place and the food was excellent .. they had karaoke which was entertaining we had margaritas ..whole tilapia ..dozen oysters .. octopus cocktail EVERYTHING WAS 100% def going back

The varied ethnic cuisine of the Greater New Orleans area remains incredibly impressive. From small Honduran establishments to the best Vietnamese cuisine in the nation, the suburbia of Kenner, Metairie, and the Westbank usually always dazzle and rarely disappoint. These restaurants usually present as unassuming with excellent cuisine that clearly entices local populations to visit and create a sense of community around the eatery. As a result, a fantastic experience with fantastic people come to bare, anchored by great food. Unfortunately, Chilango's Seafood Restaurant grants a disappointing time that, while boasting fine cuisine, doesn't stand up-to-par when it comes to the sense of hospitality that other similar eateries can boast. From the moment we walked in, we knew the dinner might fail to live up to standards. We hadn't been greeted and we had to flag down one of the many employees who had been sitting behind the bar to be seated. We found our waitress the entire night to be cold and a bit rude and a musical act had been performing the entire time that no one engaged with or seemed to care for. The food, though, helped to boost this place quite a bit, with quality nachos, salsa, quest, and chicken fajitas. Had our service been more friendly and the ambience more welcoming, Chilango's surely would have been far more than the mediocrity I consider it of now.

I have been here 7 times. Every time the service has been worse. The food has always been good tho so you deal with it. Servers will have a full on conversation with the table next to you in English and then tell you they don't speak English. I'm not sure what the motivation for that is..well... Today the food sucked as well. Will not return.

The tacos were good and the salsa is pretty tasty but the service during the day is trash. We were rushed to order drinks and food. Our margaritas were only half full and the server was not only cleaning while we ate but mopped my daughter's feet in the process. She was rude and made us wait until we asked for our bill. She was rude and I'll never spend my money here again! Even management was disrespectful. The food is great but I'd rather have mediocre food and great service.

El servicio estuvo fatal, en mi comida le comenté a la mesera que no me habían hecho lo que yo pedí y Ni siquiera tubo la amabilidad de darme opción para cambiar mi comida, solo se llevó mi plato y para colmo me lo cobraron .. La comida estuvo buena ,, pero tardaron mucho tiempo en traérnosla a la mesa ,, y el restaurante está literalmente solo.

Extremely poor service and communication. My daughter and I wanted to split the $19.99 mixed fajitas and were charged $29.99. The explanation given was that it was for two people. Nowhere on menu does it state that there is a $10 fee added for splitting. We asked for an extra empty plate and they brought another plate with beans and rice on it. They claim they did not understand what we wanted so that was what our $10 paid for. Also in doing so they knocked over one of our drinks and refused several times to replace it. Nor did anyone offer to help clean up by bringing us a clean towel to wipe up the mess. Finally after asking three times, they did bring us a replacement drink. Also bait and switch with the $4.99 margaritas special billed at $5.99 because of the "flavor".We were with a large party of about 12 and 4-5 of us seated at an adjacent table. The other table was able to do separate checks whereas we were denied because we "had a different server". Our other table was four people and we were charged an automatic 10% gratuity because of that. We had a fifth person join us at same table and, low and behold, they could do a separate check for that person.Food was ok, not stellar as expected by other reviews, and the poor attitude didn't help at all. Avoid. There are many other mexican restaurants in town to choose from.

Horrible service to black people. Me my mom and a friend came to chilangos for taco Tuesday and when we came in they acted like they didn't want to serve us. I asked for the $5 frozen margarita and received this watery half filled plastic cup. Then as we were eating our meal, the server came up by our table mopping. She first hit my feet with the mop and didn't say anything. Then she started sweeping the trash under our table. I asked her if she could wait until we were done and she said no and continued mopping. She was very disrespectful and had an attitude. She went and told other employees who stood there staring at us the whole time and she kept trying to argue back and forth with me . No apology, no compensation, the whole staff were rude and racist!
