Had an amazing time at Chemin A La Mer! Located inside the Four Seasons, the restaurant is as gorgeous as you'd expect, and the view? Absolutely breathtaking. We originally had reservations for dinner, but once we saw the oyster bar, we couldn't resist--it looked so inviting and fun!The servers were super friendly and nailed their recommendations. Bonus: we were there during happy hour, so we got to try a few different oysters from their special menu. My favorite was the Bright Side - so fresh and delicious! The seafood gumbo was divine, I could've eaten a whole pot of it (honestly, I just wish the portion was bigger). For the main course, we had the Gulf shrimp, which was just okay for me. I'm not a fan of shrimp that aren't deveined, so that was a little disappointing. But we wrapped up the night on a high note with the crème brûlée--total hit!All in all, it was a great experience--good food, fantastic service, and such a beautiful space. Definitely worth a visit!

Overall solid experience. You know what you're getting at the Four Seasons: world class service and food. Ask for a table near the windows - the restaurant is on the 5th floor and looks out over the Mississippi river. We saw multiple cargo ships and river cruises float by - pretty cool stuff. Our sommelier was from the Toronto Four Seasons - she had been flown in to help with Mardi Gras demand - and was excellent (go Canada). Being in NOLA, went seafood heavy, and were not disappointed. Highlights include the shrimp, the black drum, and the mashed potatoes. For some reason we ran the gamut on the deserts. The crème brûlée was stand out. Definitely recommend if you want an upscale dinner in New Orleans to impress.

Our favorite part was our amazing waiter Zack who made celebrating my boyfriend's birthday even more special. Everything was to our standard. The food was all very delicious and the hospitality was perfect. We were very pleased with our experience. The restaurant itself is also very beautiful, we had a beautiful scenic view from the rooftop even though it was raining. Definitely worth trying out this place, we were visiting from out of town!

The pathway to the sea meaning the river? I don't know but let's not get caught up on the meaning of the name. Let's talk about the meat and potatoes of the experience. Let's start with the service - our server Jacob was fantastic. He recommended some great items and probably one of the best servers we had during our 5 day NOLA experience. 6 out of 5 stars for Jacob! The ambiance of the place 5/5. Beautiful view. Super cozy table with pillows. Now as for the food 3.5/5. We ordered the gumbo, the baked feta, and the fish of the day which was a sword fish with some sea food. The fish was very good. The baked feta was good and the gumbo was good but for the price and portion size I expected great all around. My wife and I also ordered an Arnold Palmer for each of us. Had a craving I guess. $8 is a bit step for an Arnold Palmer but didn't realize when they brought us a refill it was another $8 each. $32 is excessive for iced tea and lemonade. I really did enjoy the experience but not sure I will be a repeat customer.

Everything about this place is amazing. Went for a birthday dinner on a Tuesday night. Had reservations which was good because the place was packed. We had booked to sit on the balcony which was beautiful. You have views of the river and we got a nice breeze. The food was phenomenal. Our server was so kind and very attentive. Overall such a good experience. Highly recommend for a special occasion!!!

I would give this place a solid 5 out of 5. Everything from the exceptional service to the beautifully designed bar contributed to a memorable dining experience. We indulged in two seafood towers that were incredibly clean, fresh, and simply phenomenal. I also had a steak that was cooked to perfection. While I'm still rating this experience a 5 out of 5, I must mention that we had initially reserved the private dining area a week in advance for my girlfriend's 50th birthday. Unfortunately, we were informed at the last minute that the reservation couldn't be honored due to a political figure's visit. This was a bit disappointing, but the restaurant made up for it with outstanding service. The manager, who I believe came to our table, personally apologized for the mishap, which we appreciated.Despite the hiccup with the private dining, the food and service were top-notch. I would certainly love to return and explore more of what the menu has to offer.

I was so excited about this place but what a let down. The restaurant is beautiful but that's about it. The service is horrible. The food was just ok for the price. I ordered the filet which was 64$ and didn't have much taste. My friends got the red fish which is impossible to mess up and they did. The oysters tasted like they were old. I ordered a vodka Martini and they brought me a gin martini and then left it on the check. By this time I was so ready to leave. $600.00 for 5 people. Don't waste your money.

I enjoyed dinner here when there was a 5 course Chef's tasting menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. Some of the food did take a while to come in between courses, but I did not mind because the ambience was beautiful. But this is important to keep in mind as you do pay for valet by the hour. There was live music and the crowd was very engaged with the music and atmosphere. The dining area overlooks the Mississippi River. The staff and service were amazing. Everyone worked together to keep the dining experience flowing. Will definitely come back to enjoy dinner on a regular evening.

Robert was our waiter and we lucked out! He was very knowledgeable about the whole menu and made great suggestions. I have not one single negative thing to say about my experience, as soon as we were seated Robert came over and started the whole dinner with still or sparkling water. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, the fish was fresh and had an amazing sauce, and who wouldn't like fresh lump crab on top?! The dessert was divine! We also got the cheesesteak which was the best I've ever had! Oh and the dessert wine?! To die for! Don't skip it! Oh yeah AND those New Brunswick oysters that Robert suggested were also the best oysters I've ever had. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for the incredible service from Robert all the way to the General Manager who made sure our experience was one to remember.
