Finally re opened with a new owner!! Still need to get the video poker machines back but they did a nice remodel of the place. You can tell he cares about his customers right off the bat...didnt know me from Adam and we played a game of pool and chatted a bit...lots of tvs in the place....He is taking it back to the roots of cheers bar from the tv show...where the owner interacted with his customers..class act guy...great choice in bartenders..very attentive

Kat the bartender is the Irish car bomb champion. Cheap drinks, good vibes what more does one need. Smoking at the bar, the level of local debauchery here is at a 10. As a transplant from New York, I must say I give Cheers a two thumbs up. Come to metry for a true LA dive bar experience. You will not regret it!

Great spot for late night, inexpensive drinks. Lots of fun when the music isn't blaring loud. Conveniently located in Fat City. Sucks it has to close at 1am on the weekends, but will be back.

Cheers is the quintessential neighborhood bar. Everyone is super welcoming; I think it is impossible to feel like a stranger here. It has a great staff and is very clean too, if not a bit smokey.

First time here and will say the service was amazing!!! Felt like home away from home that's how nice my bartender, Dutchess was/is. Can't wait to come back and tell my friends!! They try to be the best they can and that's all I can ask for!!! One of my favorite Metairie bars of all time!! Her signature shot is delicious!! Other bars should take notes!

This is a really relaxed place. The regulars are ready to chat it up and everyone is real friendly. I came in to meet some friends here and ended up waiting for them for well over an hour but was totally welcomed by the people here. It's almost like a "family friendly" dive bar - but don't get me wrong: don't bring little kids here (it's still a bar). Good happy hour. Amazing bloody mary's. Neat pool table with decent cues.

Totally new atmosphere! Glad to see somebody finally clean up the place! Very friendly bartenders! Great drink specials today! And everybody knows your name!
