The location is excellent. We can get around town without any issues and enjoy having the pool for hot, sweltering days. The hotel in general just needs a deep clean. The carpets are terribly stained and the bathrooms have a good bit of mold. We're from Savannah and more than understand how humidity affects older buildings but some of it is just due to neglect and poor cleaning practices. For the price, we'd definitely return. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating.

I stayed here with my husband and a friend for 5 nights in June that included Pride weekend. The hotel is conveniently located near Bourbon Street in the French Quarter section of New Orleans. The price was reasonable and front desk team was friendly. I understand that the property is old but needs some key improvements. Our room had few electric outlets which made it challenging when getting ready to go out on the town. Storage for clothing was also absent.Housekeeping did a nice job on beds but should be trained on ensuring rooms are properly stocked. On more than a couple of occasions we had to ask for towels, shampoo, soap, coffee & coffee cups for our in room Keurig coffee maker. Another item that was confusing is the hotel listed an amenity for "Dry cleaning Pick up or Landry Valet". We asked about this amenity and no one working at the hotel knew about this service.

Lauren at the front desk was rude to me, my husband, and my elderly father when trying to add our names to the reservation. She insulted my father stating "Its modern times now, it's 2024" and interrupting him several times. I told her she shouldn't be rude to an 80 year old man with a question, and she just stared at me. The rooms are not clean and small. I will never be back. Also, it's been impossible to reach the operator of rooms. She does not answer the phone and the email on her card is wrong.

This hotel has a ton of character. You don't have to exchange character for quality either. The staff is really nice, the temperature was perfect in our room and the suite was really nice. It's really easy to catch a an Uber or Lyft from this location. My friends met me here to get a ride instead of their hotels. Bourban is just a 2 min walk away. Note: if you stay in a suite, there are stairs...this only matters or your bags are heavy...be careful. Overall really great stay!

As a holiday inn, near bourbon Street, this hotel may meet your needs. In addition to your room rate, there is a $46 parking fee per day, added to your bill. When I visited, the pool, dining, & bar(?) where not in operation. Dinners run $30 per, in addition to some moderately priced drinks. Draft beers run $8. Walking is the usual mode of transportation. I found the streets dirty, run down & abandoned shops are everywhere. You may occasionally find someone laying on the walkway. Strong smells, visually impoverished blocks upon blocks , this city needs improvement. We bailed early. Will not return. One exception is the world war 2 museum. Again everything there is pricey. Maybe we didn't do the French quarter the right way, but it just wasn't worth the effort.

This was a fantastic hotel stay. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Entire hotel was spotlessly clean. The pool area had plenty of towels, the water was refreshing and not overly loud. Decor was minimal but classy. My standard room was spacious excluding the bathroom, which was small. I think it's due to the age of the building. The only area of noted improvement was the food availability. On Saturdays and Sundays they have an outside vendor bring in a breakfast buffet. There's not much for taste or choices, coffee is mediocre. It was like almost $30 with fees/taxes so there are better choices. I definitely will stay here again.

One block off Bourbon Street and you wouldn't know it! If you're looking for a clean, well run hotel with charm to boot in the Quarter then this is your place. We've stayed 100+ nights on the road this year (2024) and this has definitely been one of the top places. Location wise it's in the heart of the Quarter yet walkable to catching the streetcar to take you other places. We stayed in the Creole Suite and had plenty of space--exceptionally clean and housekeeping was great. Valeted our vehicle and it was kept in a lot across the street that was very secure. I've stayed in many hotels in the Quarter over the last 40 years and have found a keeper with this property. We will be back!

I am not sure where to begin. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an IHG property. I have stayed at IHG properties all over the world. Most issues have always been minor. Any issue was usually resolved and/or addressed with care. That is not the case at this location. I have not been disrespected and humiliated to this extent in a very long time. I had reserved during a FLASH sale because I was coming to New Orleans to help my son find housing. He is attending Tulane Law School in the fall. We were unsure exactly how long we would be there. We only knew it would be until we secured housing. I inquired upon my arrival about extending the stay and was told it would not be an issue. I also explained I was certain it would be 3 nights, but I needed 2 nights booked separately because Tulane was reimbursing my son for 2 nights. The young lady was very kind and said she didn't know how to add his name or print out the receipt for the 2 nights, but someone could help me in the morning. The next morning I asked to add my son's name, told her why and the lady asked how to spell his name. Saturday I inquired at the front desk about extending the stay, as I had mentioned Thursday evening during check in. I then asked if I needed to book online through the app to get my discounted rate of $123 and was told, "you can, but I can do it for you". I let her do it, trusting her with the rate. We secured housing Saturday and stayed one more night Sunday. I called Sunday, stated the same thing, was told it could be done over the phone and allowed her to do so. Imagine my surprise when upon checking out I was charged almost double for Saturday and Sunday! This is after explicitly asking about the rate both times. The young lady was very rude when I couldn't describe every person I had spoken to over five days. I told her I had talked to different people and she rudely snapped, "well, there are a lot of people who work here." She went and got another employee from the back. Things got worse from here. She refused to make an accommodation or understand my frustration. I told her I specifically asked about booking in the app and getting the reduced rate. SHE is the one who booked it Saturday when I was face to face. SHE is also the one who added my son's name. I told her exactly why his name needed to be shown. Not once did she ever say it would not show. So now, not only is my bill more, I will not get reimbursed because of her negligence and lack of care. I never raised my voice, cursed, or made any type of threat. ALL I did was try to explain and get help. The entire time I was trying to explain, the other worker was talking under breath and tapping the computer screen, thus interrupting. It was very unprofessional. This employee went on to say, "The rate stands" and "the buck stops with me" when I asked who could try to help. What professional says things like that when someone is upset and trying to get help? Again, very unprofessional. I also have traveled enough that I KNOW SHE could have made an adjustment IF she cared. Then to make matters worse, she motioned to who I assume was "security" to open the door for me when I was still trying to get answers. While I was visibly upset, I was NOT yelling or cursing. I was trying to get help! This was unnecessary and humiliating! It was also VERY unprofessional. THAT is reserved for someone who is cursing, yelling, and violent, NOT for a woman in tears! It seemed she was in a bad mood and wanted to assert her "authority". I have NEVER been treated that way by a business before. I also showed her pictures of how dirty the room was. She asked me why I didn't leave. I had to explain I was booked on a NONREFUNDABLE RATE and in an unfamiliar city. I told her I bought Clorox wipes and cleaned some areas myself. I didn't mind since I was paying so little, but had I known she doubled the rate I sure would have said something and/or left. I feel I was LIED to, misled, and verbally abused to some extent. I left in tears and humiliated after being escorted out like a criminal. I have severe anxiety due to a bad car accident in 2023. I left this hotel in tears and then had to drive almost 9 hours home feeling this way. I do believe my son has audio of this experience. I am not sure if I can attach it here, but I will be forwarding it to corporate. I would never stay here again, I would never recommend anyone stay here. It is making me rethink IHG being my first thought when booking my hotels.

SCAM SCAM SCAMupdate to my last review: they falsely told my bank that it's "non refundable" even though I have receipts that say otherwise. Do not trust this place. They will steal from you and then just keep making weird excuses as to why they can't give you a refund.

Concierge's and Front Desk Ladies were awesome. Morning concierge and evening concierge were both awesome people and a wealth of information. Did not like the fact they forced you to valet park and will not allow you to park your vehicle. Very pricey and highly inconvenient. No restaurant and no bar . Again the staff were all excellent and could not have been better. The Hotel is Bare Minimum.
